  • Craving Connections? Join us for the Beyond the Yellow Ribbon Spring Workshop—a day devoted to inspiration, learning, and collaboration. Inspired by the spirit of the Donut Dollies, this workshop is your opportunity to recharge, share encouragement, and strengthen the bonds that keep our military community strong.

    Event Details: This is a full‑day training and networking experience designed for our Beyond the Yellow Ribbon Companies and Community Networks. Seating is limited to two representatives per organization, and each attendee must register individually.

    To ensure everyone benefits fully, participants are expected to stay for the entire workshop, including all sessions. Once all seats are filled, registration will close.

    We encourage individuals who are ready to engage, learn, and carry these insights back to their teams, to register and help our program grow even stronger.

    Shift Lead to Sergeant – and Back Again: A Deployment Toolkit
    Your employee is being deployed.  Now what? This session explores how managers and HR professionals can support service members transitioning between work and military roles before, during, and after a deployment.  Learn useful tools for managing leave, maintaining USERRA compliance, and creating smooth, respectful transitions that strengthen both the workplace and the service member’s mission.

    Discover ways to connect with and strengthen military Family Programs throughout the year, especially during the holiday season. This session highlights available partnerships, resources, and outreach opportunities that help bring comfort, connection, and community to service members and their families when it matters most.

    Learn practical ways to strengthen your Beyond the Yellow Ribbon network through proven tactics and real‑world examples. This session will highlight how to find resources, make community connections, build partnerships, and engage with military families more effectively.

    Translating Experience to Opportunity
    Employers play a crucial role in helping service members transition their skills into civilian careers. This session explores how companies can partner in resume translation and interview skill‑building initiatives to strengthen their talent pipelines. Learn how collaborating with professional resume‑writing services and hosting mock interviews with HR teams can enhance veteran hiring outcomes while positioning your organization as a champion for military‑connected talent.

    Minnesota Department of Veterans Affairs: Supporting Those Who Serve
    Join representatives from the Minnesota Department of Veterans Affairs (MDVA) for an overview of key programs designed to support service members and their families. Learn how these programs work together to strengthen the safety net for Minnesota’s military community.
