    CyberTex Institute of Technology Science Technology Engineer Math (STEM) Scholarship Application

  • STEM Program:

    Students awarded this scholarship will receive $5,000 toward a short-term, hands-on vocational training programs within the career opportunities in healthcare, Information Technology (IT), and HVAC industries. The student will be responsible for the remaining financial balance at CyberTex. This scholarship cannot be used in conjunction with other military benefits. The curriculums take approximately eleven months in length to complete. In the event market demand dictates a change in curriculum or program length CyberTex will work with the recipient to identify an equitable program. This program is not transferable to other CyberTex campus and must be completed at CyberTex Institute of Technology at 2207 Florence Road in Killeen Texas. Hours of instruction vary and both day and evening programs are available. Upon successful completion of the program CyberTex will assist with job placement. Cyber Tex does not guarantee employment at the end of the training program.

  • Purpose:

    The STEM scholarships will be awarded to high school seniors or one year removed from high school who is dedicated to academic excellence and passionate about pursuing a trade/technical certificate to achieve their dreams.

    Award:

    The winner will be selected based on submitting all required documentation. His/her overall package will be judged by the scholarship committee. Scholarship recipients will be notified by email, mail, or phone.

    Eligibility:

    • Applicant must be a high school graduating senior or graduated in 2024.
    • Applicant must plan to pursue post high school studies (Technical/Trade school
    • Applicants must have a minimum cumulative GPA 2.5 on a 4.0 scale.
    • Applicant must be active in the community or other organizations.
    • Applicant must be a high schooler within the Central Texas Area.

    The scholarship application must be received by 5pm on Friday, April 16, 2025. All submissions received after April 16, 2025 will be disqualified or not considered. Scholarship will be awarded for the Fall 2025 semester and all funds will be paid directly to CyberTex.

    A. The following required documents will complete a scholarship application package;

    1. Completed scholarship application.

    2. Current headshot photo in business attire (JPEG or PNG

    3. An official high school transcript with rank and unweighted GPA (4.0 scale).

    4. Two letters of recommendation from a teacher/Administrator/Counselor.       Community leaders: Minister/church leaders or supervisor from work.

    5. Student extracurricular activities listing of sports, awards, and dates.

    6. Community service/volunteer hours. A listing of all hours with dates of activities and total hours calculated.

    7. Acceptance letters from a trade or technical school of higher learning.

    8. A 500-word minimum essay discussing "How you predict technology will change the world in the next five years".
