This position is for a 1 year term and membership MUST be paid by July 15th. The position choices will be based on service hours (how active you have been in the past), as well as how reliable and strong of a volunteer you are.

Executive Board Position Descriptions:

President
-Will lead executive board meetings to help prepare the Volunteer Matrix Calendar.
-Shall preside at meetings.
-Can appoint special committees as needed.
-Shall oversee and help chairs.
-Expected to work cooperatively with the Vice President(s) regarding important matters.
-Requires at least 2 years membership in Youth Council and 1 year previous experience on the Executive Board.

Vice President
-Assist in leading executive board meetings to help prepare the Volunteer Matrix Calendar.
-Perform all duties and responsibilities of the President in their absence.
-Serve in such capacities as assigned by the President.
-Oversee and help chairs.
-Expected to work cooperatively with the President regarding important matters to plan
team building activities. -Requires at least 2 years membership in Youth Council and 1 year previous experience on the Executive Board.

Community Service Chairperson
-In charge of the Community Service committee.
-Work together with other members of the board to plan community service events, including (but not limited to): environmental, educational, Chelsea Senior Living, snow shoveling/raking leaves, and other types of service events for the Youth Council General Membership.
-Requires at least 2 years membership in Youth Council and 1 year previous experience on the Executive Board.

Best Buds' Chairperson
-Leads the Best Buds' committee; Helps to plan and organize a variety of social events to participate in with the Best Buds group of East Brunswick.
-Must attend at least one East Brunswick Adaptive Recreation program a month.
-Must plan out each month's events with the Director of East Brunswick Adaptive Recreation.
-Must plan at least three (3) events per season, and you must attend at least half of all other Best Buds' events.
-Must attend yearly Best Buds' Trainings -Requires previous Best Buds' experience and at least 1 year previous membership in Youth Council.

Communications Chairperson -In charge of the Communications Committee -Create a social media campaign to promote Youth Council and all its benefits, as well as activities. Must post pictures weekly.
-To promote Youth Council events by making creative and informative flyers.
-Must work with the other Chairs to coordinate their advertisement.
-Requires at least 1 year previous membership in Youth Council.

Members at Large -Will be assigned to general leadership roles and responsibilities on the Executive Board.
-Will be assigned to different committees and certain tasks each month, as deemed appropriate.
-Will help to plan events throughout the entire year for Youth Council.
-Expected to work cooperatively with the entire board in various capacities.
-Requires at least 1 year membership in Youth Council.
