    VISA Requirements:

    US Citizens: The European Union has implemented their Entry/Exit System (EES) effective April 12, 2026 for all non-EU citizens. There is nothing you need to do prior to travel — your biometric data (e.i., fingerprints and facial scan) will be collected upon arrival into your first entrance into any EU country.

    The European Travel Information and Authorization System (ETIAS) is scheduled to go into effect in late 2026. Once that is in place, non-EU passport holders will need to apply for the ETIAS authorization before travel. You will need to complete an application and pay a service fee of 20 euros (about $24) online. The authorization will be valid for two years or passport expiration if less than 2 years.

    NON-US Citizens: Please contact the Embassy of the country that issued your passport for EES, and/or ETIAS requirements & assistance. 

    Once you have submitted your registration, any changes should be e-mailed to Denise@expanding-horizons.com. Please note that this registration site is not compatible with some Apple devices.

    Any changes made after your reservation has been submitted may result in penalties by Expanding Horizons or our suppliers.

  • Airport, Arrival & Departure Information

    Please note: 
    • The cruise begins in Dijon, France on August 6, 2026. The closest airport to Dijon is Lyon, France (LYS). It is located about 200km from Dijon. AmaWaterways offers transfer at 12:30p, 3:30p and 8:30p for an additional cost.
    • The cruise ends in Arles, France on August 13, 2026. The closest airport to Arles is Marseille, France (MRS). It is located about 75km from Arles. AmaWaterways offers transfer at 3:45a, 6:45a and 10:45a for an additional cost.

    Cruise Only: Plan your departure from the US on August 5, 2026 to arrive in Dijon on August 6, 2026. Embarkation begins at 3:00 PM on the ship. The cruise will conclude in Arles on August 13, 2026. All guests should disembark before 9:00 am.

    Pre-Cruise Tour & Cruise: Plan your departure from the US on August 3, 2026 to arrive in Paris on August 2, 2026. The cruise will conclude in Arles on August 13, 2026. All guests should disembark before 9:00 am.

    Cruise & Post-Cruise Tour: Plan your departure from the US on August 5, 2026 to arrive in Dijon on August 6, 2026. Embarkation begins at 3:00 PM on the ship. The tour will end in Aix-En-Provence on August 16, 2026. You can depart from Marseille (MRS) any time.

    Pre-Cruise Tour, Cruise & Post-Cruise Tour: Plan your departure from the US on August 5, 2026 to arrive in Dijon on August 6, 2026. The tour will end in Aix-En-Provence on August 16, 2026. You can depart from Marseille (MRS) any time.

  • Travel Insurance

    We recommend that you purchase travel protection. Expanding Horizons offers a private group plan from Trawick International. You can find the link to get a quote on the Travel Essentials page of the website. Our Group plan must be purchased prior to final payment to receive the Pre-Existing Medical Conditions Waiver. If you want to purchase a plan with Cancel For Any Reason (CFAR) coverage, then you must purchase an individual plan within 21 days of your deposit to qualify. It is the travelers responsibility to purchase travel insurance as travel protection is never automatically added to any reservation.

            Persons with a walking disability, an injury, or who require a wheelchair/scooter or another mobility device, must have another dedicated person traveling with them to assist with their needs. 

            Entry/Exit System (EES): I understand that I will be responsible for securing this travel authorization prior to departing the US. It is scheduled to go into effect in October 2025, US citizens will ber required to obtain EES documentation for entering most countries in Europe.
