Entries for competitive events received between June 2, 2025 and June 15, 2025 will incur double entry fees.

Entries received between June 16, 2025 and June 30, 2025 will incur triple fees.

Name(s) may not appear in the program for entries
received after June 1, 2025.

All fees must be paid in US dollars.

Requests for refunds will not be considered, but will be converted to a donation to the 2025 SDUSA National Championships Weekend.

Dancing Rules

All events will be conducted under the RSOBHD Rules and Regulations governing competitions and championships.
The decision of the judge(s) is final.
All dancers must present a current RSOBHD registration card at time of check-in and upon request.
A dancer's age for all dance events will be as of Thursday, July 10, 2025, with the exception of the USIR Championship. Age for the USIR Championship will be as of July 15, 2025.
First to enter will be last to dance except for USIR Championship, where a draw will determine order of dance.
The organizers reserve the right to combine or divide age groups at their discretion.
Dances will be performed in the order that they appear below.
Dancers must remain in full costume to receive awards.
Dancers will be requested to fill in for reels if necessary.
Dancers reporting late for their event/dance may forfeit their right to dance.
Protests must be in writing, signed and presented to the Competition Chair(s) within 24 hours and be accompanied by a $50 fee, which will be refunded if the protest is sustained.
The 2025 RSOBHD Championship Steps must be danced for the USIR Championship and North American Open Championship and the 2025 RSOBHD Scottish National Dance Premiership Steps must be danced for the Premiership event.
Pre-championship is open to Premier dancers who have never won a championship or pre-championship.
Age groups will be determined for each event following the close of entries.
All dancers must abide by the RSOBHD Code of Ethics.
Parents and teachers should not be in the marshalling area.
Changes in status, classes, or other modifications must be emailed to to sdusa2025reg@gmail.com as soon as possible, and no later than July 7th, 2025. (This change will not be reflected in the program).

Premier dancers must show their 2025 RSOBHD Registration Card in order to receive their competition number(s) and welcome packet from the Hospitality Desk. Pre-Premier dancers must report to dancer check-in with their card on each day of competition.

Thursday, July 10, 2025 (AM) - Choreography (Solo & Group) Competition. Entry fee is $35/solo and $75/group.

Friday, July 11, 2025 - Pre-Premier competition (AM) and SDUSA Scottish National Premiership (PM).

Choreography Competition Rules

All time slots for SOLO CHOREOGRAPHY have been filled. If you would like to be added to the waitlist, please email: usir2025competitions@gmail.com
1. Solo and Group Choreography is limited to Premier dancers only.
2. A Group Choreography must consist of at least three dancers. (Only 1 member of the group choreography should register on this form).
3. If your group consists of dancers from multiple schools, the teachers need to sign the Joint School Choreography Form. If your teacher does not have access to this form, send an email request to usir2025competitions@gmail.com.
4. Premier Solo Choreography will be divided into age groups based upon entries received.
5. Group Choreography will not be divided into age groups. If numbers warrant, groups will be divided into small and big groups.
6. Solo Choreography is a maximum of 1 minute 30 seconds, including entrance and exit. Group Choreography is a maximum of 2 minutes, including entrance and exit.
7. A limited number of solo and group choreographies will be accepted based on time allotment. Additional entries may be accepted at the discretion of the organizer. If time slots are filled, a waitlist will be established. Email usir2025competitions@gmail.com with your request to be added to the waitlist.
8. If, after entering, circumstances prevent you from participating, please email usir2025competitions@gmail.com as soon as possible to allow another dancer from the waitlist to compete.
9. All music must be submitted electronically by June 15, 2025 to usir2025competitions@gmail.com. Bring a backup copy on a memory stick to the event. No verbal communication with the sound technician will be permitted during the actual competition. Please have music cut to time.
10. Per RSOBHD rules, music may include vocal or percussion selections, but in all cases must be predominantly Scottish or Celtic in style.
11. Please refer to the RSOBHD Rule Book (Rules January 2025) for any rules not referenced herein.

By proceeding with this online registration, I agree to the following: I am aware that participating in the 2025 SDUSA National Championships Weekend (the "Event") involves the potential for risks, dangers and hazards, including but not limited to: (a) injury to myself/my child as a result of the physical nature of dance competition and performance; and (b) the taking and/or release of unauthorized photographs, video and/or other recordings of myself and/or my child. In consideration of my/my child's participation in the Event and for other good and valuable consideration, the receipt and sufficiency of which is acknowledged, I do hereby for myself, my heirs, assigns, executors and administrators, waive and release all rights and claims for damages I may have against ScotDance USA, its directors, agents, employees, executive members, volunteers and organizers of the Event (the "Releasees"), Hyatt Regency Santa Clara, the Royal Scottish Official Board of Highland Dance (“RSOBHD”) and all its agents or representatives, for any/all injuries suffered by me or any member of my family or group at any/all events to be held. In particular, but without limiting the foregoing, I agree to release the Releasees from ANY AND ALL LIABILITY for any loss, damage, injury or expense I/my child may incur as a result of my/my child's participation in or attendance at the Event. I agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Releasees from ANY LOSS, DAMAGE, INJURY or EXPENSE, including legal costs, that the Releasees may incur due to my/my child's participation in or attendance at the Event, whether caused by the negligence of the Releasees or otherwise, and whether caused to my child or otherwise. I understand that the Releasees will photograph and otherwise record the Event, its participants and attendees. I consent to and authorize such recording. I further consent to authorize the Releasees to publish my/my child's image, likeness and information in any medium, including but not limited to photographs, videos, DVDs and webcasts. I understand that this publication will take place in the public domain, including in printed materials, public announcements and on the internet. I specifically consent to the public release of the following information: 1. Name; 2. Country of Residence; 3. Results. I acknowledge that by signing and submitting this entry, electronically or otherwise, that I have read this agreement carefully and fully understand it, and I agree to all the above terms and conditions. FUSTA/ScotDance USA (the "Organizers") reserve the right to cancel the Event, or any part thereof, at any time if the Organizers deem such cancellation to be necessary due to events beyond its control or should it become necessary to cancel the Event at the Organizers' sole discretion (the "Cancellation"). The Organizers shall not be responsible to any purchaser and/or attendees for any direct or indirect financial loss caused as a result of the Cancellation including, but not limited to, airfare, hotel deposits, entry fees and tickets. The purchaser and/or attendees agree to indemnify and save harmless the Organizers from all claims arising from the Cancellation.I hereby release and agree to hold ScotDance USA, Hyatt Regency Santa Clara, and the RSOBHD harmless from, and waive on behalf of myself, my heirs and any personal representatives any and all causes of action, claims, demands, damages, costs, expenses and compensation for damage or loss to myself and/or property that may be caused by any act, or failure to act, or the organization, or that may otherwise arise in any way in connection with any events from ScotDance USA, Hyatt Regency Santa Clara and the RSOBHD. I understand that this release discharges ScotDance USA, Hyatt Regency Santa Clara, and the RSOBHD from any liability or claim that I, my heirs, or any personal representatives may have against the organization with respect to any bodily injury, illness, death, medical treatment or property damage that may arise from, or in connection to, any services received from ScotDance USA. This liability waiver and release extends to ScotDance USA, Hyatt Regency Santa Clara, and the RSOBHD together with all organizational volunteers.
