Criminal Record Declaration
Due to the nature of the services provided by Early Break, you must disclose any criminal record. All posts are exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974, requiring disclosure of all convictions, cautions, reprimands, and final warnings.
Having a criminal record does not necessarily bar you from employment, as each application is assessed on its merits. Openness is essential. All information provided will remain confidential and considered only in relation to the role.
Successful candidates must complete an Enhanced Disclosure Check with the Disclosure and Barring Service or Disclosure Scotland before employment. Early Break adheres to the Codes of Practice on the use, storage, and handling of Disclosure Information issued by Disclosure Agencies.
All posts are exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and subsequent legislation, meaning that all convictions, cautions, reprimands and final warnings on your criminal record must be disclosed.
The fact that convictions may have been recorded against you does not necessarily debar you from employment with Early Break. Each application is considered on its merit, so it cannot be stressed enough that openness is essential.
