Background: The San Carlos Estates Water Control District (SCEWCD) was established in 1969 as a Special 298 District in the State of Florida. The undersigned homeowner supports the dissolution of the SCEWCD and the transition of its responsibilities to the City of Bonita Springs or other appropriate governing entities to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and better align with the current needs of the community.
Acknowledgment: By signing this document, I, the undersigned homeowner, affirm my support for the dissolution of the SCEWCD and acknowledge my understanding that this action aims to:
1. Ensure more transparent and accountable management of waterways, drainage, and infrastructure.
2. Reduce financial burdens on landowners by integrating services into a broader, more efficient governing body.
3. Promote equitable distribution of resources and responsibilities for the entire community's benefit.
4. Improve property values by enhancing access to the community and public utilities.
5. Open Strike Lane to Imperial Parkway, significantly shortening commutes and improving accessibility for all residents.
6. Remove the gate between Stillwell Parkway and the community, promoting easier access and connectivity.
7. Per Florida Statutes § 381.00655, We require an exemption to be included in any legislature allowing for continued use of any septic system that is functioning properly and meets current health department standards until the end of its life for San Carlos Estates Homeowners to support any of these changes.
