  • CLUB MENTOR:   All Club mentors must have completed CAMP training (12/8 hours) as well as CLUB training (6/3) and level 3 criminal background check to be eligible to be a club mentor. CAMP training and experience is required. Mentors should be fully engaged with club kids during our meetings and work to create a Mentoring Program atmosphere that brings back the positive memories of Camp to all of the children and Staff. Mentors may be asked to transport kids to club if caregivers are not able to do so.
    CERTIFIED CLUB STAFF:  Once a month Club Meeting plus planning (Music, Activities, Refreshments, Bible Story, Puppets, etc.) for 8-month Club year.   All Certified Club Staff must have CLUB training and level 3 criminal background check to be eligible to serve as certified.  CAMP training and experience is required.
    CLUB STAFF NON CERTIFIED: Once a month Club Meetings and provides 2 deep for mentoring in less public settings.  All Non Certified Club Staff must  have CLUB training and level 3 background check to be eligible to serve. 
    CLUB MENTOR-IN-TRAINING: Volunteers 16-&17 years old.  Attend once a month club meetings and assit with club program.  All club mentors-In-training must complete Club training.
    SAFETY COMPANION (aka Second Cleared Adult):  Volunteers (over 18) who have completed level 3 criminal background check may be considered for Safety Companions.  These volunteers serve as needed—providing a second cleared adult when club mentors are meeting with their club kids at a less public setting (hike, residence, etc.)

  • Take the sadness out of the last day of camp! 

    Build a year-round relationship with campers through the Royal Family KIDS Sandy GSLC Club and Mentoring Program. This form is used with your camp application for club/mentoring participation. 

  • DESIGNED FOR:  Children (ages 7-11 before camp age) who have attended a RFK Camp.
     
    WHEN:  Club Mentors meet with club kids once a month for Club Time (staff organizes programs).  Mentoring Club will meet the first Saturday of the month, 10:00 am to 1:00 pm, October – May.
     
    TRANSPORTATION:  We will be transitioning to Group Mentoring instead of One on One assignments this year. We are asking caregivers to provide transportation to and from club, but may need some Certified Club Mentors and Certified Club Staff to provide transportation if caregivers are unable to bring them (caregivers provide medical and transportation permission slips for the year).  Camp Experience, Club Training, Driver’s License and Proof of Insurance are required. Activity and transportation logs must be kept and turned in monthly.

  • I understand that Club staff will review my Camp Volunteer Application, criminal background clearance information and motor vehicle check if I am seeking a certified Club staff, Club Mentor or other volunteer position.  I will also need to submit copies of my driver’s license and proof of automobile insurance.
