This is a unique opportunity to display your floral artistry through designs inspired by The Language of Flowers — a theme that invites you to explore how flowers communicate meaning, emotion, and stories. Whether conveying remembrance, celebration, or mystery, flowers have a rich language of their own. We can’t wait to see how you interpret this theme through your designs! Details : Mystery Box Competition Opportunities Available: 9 Florists - LIVE ON STAGE competition Prize: Daily Winner will receive $250 gift card + award Description: Get ready for an exciting floral competition! Three talented florists will compete in two rounds, each creating a stunning bouquet from a mystery box filled with various floral materials. The contents of the mystery box are a secret, testing each florist’s ability to create under pressure. The challenge? Thinking resourcefully and adapting quickly, as florists will be eliminated after each round, with only the best designs advancing. Only one florist will win, earning recognition for their creativity and expertise! (One stage show per day)

With no size restrictions, florists have the freedom to push their creative boundaries and present bold, inspiring design installations. Details : Floral Arrangement Competition Opportunities Available: 10 Florists Stipend : $500 – to be used towards floral and all other necessary materials for the arrangement. Prize: Trophy + Cash Prize 1st place - $1500 2nd place - $750 3rd place - $350 Description: Ten talented florists will go head-to-head in the Floral Face Off, creating stunning floral arrangements that push the boundaries of creativity and express The Language of Flowers. These extraordinary designs will highlight the florists' skills, offering a fresh and bold perspective on floral artistry. Florists are encouraged to think outside the box, crafting arrangements that are not limited to a vase or traditional thinking. With creativity on full display, guests will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite arrangement, helping to crown the winner.

Florists are required to complete installations using a specified stipend, including all expenses such as but not limited to floral orders, props, and materials. Florists may exceed the provided stipend at their own expense, but may not spend less than the allocated amount. The full stipend must be utilized entirely for the floral design. Florists can use additional props and elements not provided by MCHS for their designs. An itemized record of all purchases and personal properties used must be submitted to MCHS for review by the specified deadline. By participating, florists agree to adhere to the stipend guidelines and provide all necessary documentation to ensure proper allocation of funds. Disclaimer: By submitting this form, participants agree to abide by all rules and guidelines set forth by the Maricopa County Home Shows. Participants waive any and all claims against the organizer, its affiliates, and partners for any potential damages, losses, or liabilities related to their participation in this event. Participants also acknowledge that their personal information, logos, photographs, or likeness may be used for promotional purposes related to the Home & Flower Show and other associated events. Eligibility Requirements: - Florists must submit their application by Friday, March 14, 2025 to be considered for participation. - Florists must be available to commit to media segments and other media opportunities as they arise. - The provided funds for floral purchases must be used exclusively at Mayesh Wholesaler. Florists must have an active account with Mayesh in order to utilize the allocated funds. -The funds provided will cover only the cost of floral materials; florists will not be compensated for their labor. This opportunity serves as a platform for design, community involvement, branding, and more, in exchange for the florists' contributions - All floral installations and arrangements must be fully completed and ready for display by 9:00 AM on May 16th. The specific setup dates and times will be provided in advance. Florists are required to adhere to all scheduled times, including but not limited to set up and break down. Prize Limitations: - Prizes and sponsored opportunities are subject to availability and are not guaranteed. Participation does not guarantee selection. - Florists applying for a Retail Booth Space are more likely to be considered for company-sponsored opportunities. Retail booths are complimentary for Florists who are chosen for a MCHS sponsored opportunity. Booths must be staffed during the event Friday-Sunday 10:00am - 5:00pm. Organizer’s Rights: - The Maricopa County Home Shows reserves the right to modify the contest rules, eligibility, and selection criteria at its sole discretion. - In the event that a florist fails to provide the agreed-upon services or cancels their participation, any and all allocated funds must be returned to the Maricopa County Home Shows within 5 days. Cancellations can be detrimental to the event, and participants are expected to honor their commitment to the show if selected. Important Dates: The deadline for all submissions is Friday, March 14, 2025. Selected Florists will be announced the week of Monday, March 17, 2025 via email. Chosen florists must confirm their participation by Friday March 21, 2025. By submitting this application, you understand that selection is not guaranteed, and you are committing to be available for the opportunity should you be chosen.
