I understand that membership with Visit Jefferson Parish requires participation in the Tourism Assessment pursuant to the By-Laws of the Jefferson Convention & Visitors Bureau, Inc. The Tourism Assessment requires hotel members to remit to the Jefferson Convention & Visitors Bureau, Inc. on or before the 20th day of each month an amount equal to 1% of the room charges for occupancy for the previous month, as more specifically described in the By-Laws. I understand that if for any reason our property decides to opt out of and/or decline to participate in the Tourism Assessment, the property’s membership will be terminated.
All new applications are submitted to the Jefferson Convention & Visitors Bureau, Inc. Membership Committee for approval and applicants acknowledge that the Tourism Assessment will apply on the 1st day of the month following approval of membership. All members must be in good standing and follow the principles of our mission statement.
Contributions or gifts to Jefferson Convention & Visitors Bureau, Inc. are not tax deductible as charitable contributions for Federal income tax purposes. However, they may be tax deductible under other provisions of the Internal Revenue Code. Please consult your tax advisor for your organization.
