Showtime: 3:45 - 4:15 PM

Location: Arneson River Theatre - La Villita Historic Village, 418 Villita St. San Antonio, TX 78205. Please meet at the Cos House (La Villita Building 18), right above the Arneson River Theatre and right next to Smoke BBQ.

• 1:00 PM: Registration Start
• 3:30 PM: Registration End
• 3:20 - 3:40 PM: Paw-ticipant Line Up
• 3:45 PM: Show Starts
• 3:50 PM: Paw-ticipants enter Arneson River Theater 
• 4:00 PM: Paw-ticipant Q&A
• 4:15 PM: Winner will be determined by Audience Applause

Lucky Dog Fashion Show: Run of Show

Pawticipant Check-In & Line-Up

• Check-in and line-up will begin on Villita Street by Casa Catrina.
• Volunteers and staff will be present to assist with organizing pawticipants and ensuring a smooth process.

Show Begins: Procession into Arneson River Theatre

• Pawticipants and their owners will walk into the Arneson River Theatre, guided by volunteers.
• Disclaimer: All pawticipants and their owners must be able to walk down stairs safely.

Introduction at the Emcee Station

• Each pawticipant will stop at the emcee station for a quick introduction.
• The emcee will ask the owner a few brief questions about the pawticipant (e.g., name, fun fact, or costume inspiration).

Strutting Down the Runway

• Pawticipants will strut their stuff down the middle staircase of the Arneson, secured by volunteers to ensure safety.

Line-Up for Judging

• At the bottom of the staircase, pawticipants will line up while the judges deliberate.
• Three judges will each select two finalists, totaling six finalists.

Exit for Non-Finalists

• All non-finalist pawticipants will exit the Arneson back up the stairs by Prost Haus, assisted by volunteers.

Finalist Round

• The six finalists will return to the stage for one final showcase.
• Each finalist will perform a trick, share more fun facts, or show off their costume.

Crowd Applause & Winner Selection

• The crowd’s applause will determine the Lucky Dog Winner.
• The grand prize will be awarded to the winning pawticipant.

Wrap-Up

• All participants and attendees will be thanked for their enthusiasm and participation. Volunteers will assist with clearing the space and ensuring a smooth exit.

Rules & Etiquette

• All furry friends must remain on a non-retractable leash led by one owner.
• By participating, you agree that your dog is social, well-behaved, and up-to-date on vaccinations. 
• You MUST clean up after your pet!
• During the parade please be aware of your surroundings, sidewalks will be crowded.
• Visit San Antonio (VSA) is not responsible or liable for incidents that occur with you or your dog.
  VSA reserves the right to limit the number of paw-ticipants.
• HAVE FUN! Keep in mind, YOU ARE THE SHOW. 😊

 

WHEREAS, the Visit San Antonio (VSA) sponsored event(s), the Visit San Antonio (the organization) Committee(s), Chair (persons) and members, the Board President, Officers, and Board Members, the EVENT PARTICIPANT Coordinator, Staff, and the Sponsors (hereinafter referred as “EVENT”) consents and agrees to permit the named EVENT PARTICIPANT(s): LISTED BY RIDER NAME BELOW (Hereinafter referred to as “PARTICIPANT”,) to participate in the event, subject to the adherence of the PARTICIPANT to any provisions set out in the rules and regulations (written or verbal) of the agents listed as EVENT in this contract.

NOW, THEREFORE, for and in consideration of the premises and the mutual promises, covenants, and agreements set forth in this Agreement, the EVENT and PARTICIPANT agree that the event, its agents or employees, shall not be liable or responsible for, and shall be SAVED, HELD HARMLESS, RELEASED and INDEMNIFIED by PARTICIPANT from and against any and all suits, actions, losses, damages, claims, or liability of any character, type, or description, including but not limited to all expenses of litigation, court costs, and attorney fees for injury or death to any person or animal, or injury to any property received or sustained by any person, persons, or animal, or property arising out of, or occasioned by, directly or indirectly, the participation of PARTICIPANT or their animal represented in the event including claims and damages arising in whole or in part from the negligence of the event, its agents or employees.

IT IS THE EXPRESS INTENT OF THE PARTIES TO THIS AGREEMENT THAT THE INDEMNITY PROVIDED FOR IN THIS AGREEMENT IS AN INDEMNITY EXTENDED BY PARTICIPANT TO INDEMNIFY AND PROTECT THE EVENT FROM ANY AND ALL CLAIMS OR ACTIONS, AS SET FORTH ABOVE, OF ANY KIND, ARISING DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY FROM THE PARTICIPATION OF RIDER IN THE EVENT, REGARDLESS OF WHETHER SUCH CLAIMS OR ACTIONS ARE FOUNDED IN WHOLE OR IN PART UPON ALLEGED NEGLIGENCE OF EVENT, ITS REPRESENTATIVES, AGENTS OR EMPLOYEES.

It is further understood and agreed that PARTICIPANT will participate solely as an individual on a voluntary basis and not as an employee, contractor, or agent of the event or its agents or employees.

PARTICIPANT grants permission to VSA, its staff, interns and volunteer photographers, and social media specialists the consent for the use of photograph(s) and video(s) for presentation under any legal condition, including but not limited to: publicity, copyright purposes, illustration, advertising, and web content.

In making this Agreement, PARTICIPANT relies wholly upon his/her judgment, belief, and knowledge and has not been influenced to any extent whatsoever by any representations or statements contained in this Agreement.
