National Tap Dance Day Celebration Performance Opportunity for Tap Dancers of all ages and levels. Taplife Hero Foundation will celebrate its 9th “National Tap Dance Day” in Queens, NY with a FREE-to-the-public tap dance concert at the George Seuffert, Sr. Bandshell in Forest Park, Queens on May 24th, 2026. Come be part of the show!!!
The Show includes:
- World-renowned tap professionals
- Tap dance companies
- Live music and DJ MRG
- Special performance by Singer/Songwriter Frank Persico
- An opportunity to meet a community leader who will be honored as "A Champion for Tap Dance"
- FREE tap classes will be offered throughout the day, led by #Taplife Company Artistic Director and Queens native, Anthony Lo Cascio
- A chance to learn the event's signature piece: "Lucky to Be Alive" from Anthony LIVE online or in your own dance studio.
- See performances from upcoming and coming tap dancers. This is where dance studio students, teachers and independent tap dancers come in.
Those who wish to apply for the show can register to perform on a 24'Wx10'D O'Mara Sprung Wood Floor. We welcome Solos, Duos, Trios, and any size group you feel will fit on the floor.

There is a donation of $35 per person per performance.

You may enter more than one performance piece. You will have the option to submit another piece at the end of this form. Due to limited slots not every piece submitted will be guaranteed a spot on the "bill". There is a $35 reservation fee per piece submitted. If your piece is not accepted, you will be issued a full refund. Our intention is to accommodate as many pieces as possible.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

I understand not all pieces will be accepted to perform at the concert. I understand there will be a sugested donation of $35 per dancer per piece to perform. Once officially accepted to perform I understand it will be my responsibility to submit all required materials (including but not limited to contact information, dancer names, music, images, bios, waivers, etc) in a timely fashion or I may forfeit my submission WITHOUT refund.

NOTICE OF PERFORMANCE

I am aware we will be notified of my/our status to perform at the event no later than the second week of May 2025.

WAIVER AND RELEASE OF ALL CLAIMS AND ASSUMPTION OF RISK
Please read this form carefully and be aware that in signing up and participating in any Foundation event, you will be expressly assuming the risk and legal liability and waiving and releasing all claims for injuries, damages or loss which you may sustain as a result of participating in any and all activities connected with and associated with your participation in this #Taplife event (including transportation services, when provided).
As a participant, I recognize and acknowledge that there are certain risks of physical injury in participation of #Taplife events, and I voluntarily agree to assume the full risk of any and all injuries, damages or loss, regardless of severity that I may sustain as a result of said participation. I further agree to waive and relinquish all claims I may have (or accrue to me) as a result of participating in this #Taplife event against Tap Life, LLC OR the rental space, including its officials, agents, volunteers and employees (hereinafter collectively referred as “Parties”).
I do hereby fully release and forever discharge the Parties from any and all claims for injuries, damages or loss that I may have or which may accrue to me arising out of, connected with, or in any way associated with my participation.

I have read and fully understand the above important information, warning of risk, assumption of risk and waiver and release of all claims.
