    • Questions regarding Age
    • My Junior is not within the age range. Can they attend the other camp?

Per AZ District guidelines, all Juniors must fall within the designated age range.

We also believe that it is in the best interest of each camper to be with other children who are at their age level. Therefore, exceptions will not be made.

    • My Junior's birthday is a couple of days after camp. Can they still attend camp?

Per AZ District guidelines, all Juniors must fall within the designated age range by the first day of Junior Camp.

8-10 Yrs  Must be 8 yrs old on or before June 02, 2026
11-13 Yrs  Must be 11 yrs old on or before July 14, 2026

      Exceptions will not be made

    • Mentor Requirements & Responsibilities
    • What is the minimum age requirement for being a mentor?

Mentors must be at least 21 years old (Before 06/02/2026) to qualify.

    • Is it required to get a background check?

It is preferred that all Mentor applicants complete a Background Check. However, we will accept a valid and not expired, Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card as an alternative. (A Social Security number is not required to complete a Background Check.)

    • I completed the Prevention Training last year. Is it required to do it again?

Yes. All mentors are required to complete Prevention Training again. Because the web-based training certificate expires annually on December 31, the training must be completed again to receive a 2026 certificate.

    • Mentor Responsibilities

As a Mentor, you will serve as both a spiritual leader and a responsible guardian for the campers entrusted to you. Therefore, the following will be required of me:

      GENERAL

      • I understand that it is important to be a good example at all times and therefore, carry a good testimony in and outside of the church. This may include, but is not limited to
        • Complying with leadership and all forms of authority
        • Dressing with modesty and in accordance with Apostolic Doctrine
        • Demonstrate the ability and attitude to serve.
      • Diligently supervise assigned Campers during all camp activities.
      • Ensure that assigned campers treat all participants (staff, mentors, and other campers) with respect at all times.
      • Ensure that assigned campers maintain healthy and hygienic routines.
      • Ensure that assigned campers wear appropriate attire at all times.
      • Ensure that assigned campers are eating balanced meals and getting enough nutrients to sustain them throughout the week.
      • Ensure that assigned campers participate and attend all camp activities on time.
      • Ensure that all curfew and lights-out hours are followed and that assigned campers get enough rest.
      • Assist with loss prevention and monitor camp property for damage.
        • Any camper caught destroying or vandalizing camp property will be removed from the campground. The camper's parent/guardian and pastors will also be notified. Parents/Guardians will be responsible for and expected to pay for any damages.
      • Immediately report any incidents that occur on the campground, including filling out Incident Reports in detail.
        • Note: Incidents not reported during camp or within an acceptable time frame cannot be addressed.
      • Be familiar with and know how to use a walkie-talkie, as it will be essential for communication during transitions and other duties. Clear communication is vital to keeping everyone informed, safe, and accountable.
      • Be familiar with the signs of mental health issues, depression, or other concerns

      SPIRITUAL

      • Before Camp:  Devote time for personal consecration (Prayer and Fasting) and intercession before attending Junior Camp - At least once a week.
      • Before Camp:  Encourage local Juniors to understand the impact of Worship, Sermons, and Altar calls.
      • At Camp:  Build a mentor-disciple relationship with assigned campers to guide their spiritual growth.
      • At Camp:  Participate in altar calls and pray with the campers.
    • Room Assignment Questions
    • What if I want my child to stay with a fellow camper/mentor?

We recommend that each parent/guardian coordinate with your Local Junior Director to ensure that this information is communicated. Directors will need to submit this information at the Camp Kick-off service or via
      email before May 30, 2026.

Note for Female campers - Each room has a maximum capacity of 6 campers and 1 Mentor. Even if a particular room has already reached capacity, as long as another room in the same area has spaces available, the camper may still be relatively close and have the opportunity to fellowship within the building's vicinity.
