• Communications Infrastructure Survey for Social & Environmental Justice

    Why are we doing this?

    This is a project to gather information about current communications practices among social & environmental justice organizers & activists in the Mohkinstis, Treaty 7, area (aka Calgary).

    This is part of a plan for improving the communications infrastructure in our region. The current plan is:

    1. Gather info on the state of communication practices, tools, infrastructure, & preferences.
    2. Analyze responses, and prepare report.
    3. Present report to interested folks, with discussions on setting priorities for next steps.
    4. Engage a variety of folks in developing plans based on the outcomes of step 3.

    … What happens after that is up to what is decided in Step 4.

    How will the answers be used?

    The survey responses will be anonymized and compiled into a report made available to local organizers, and may be made available to interested organizers in other regions.

    If you give your contact information for follow-up, that will only be used by the surveying group to let you know about the outcomes from the survey, and provide you an opportunity to get involved in this project.

    Who is running this survey?

    A volunteer group of folks who have been involved in various different local activist efforts, coordinated by Grant Neufeld, who is serving as contact person until we get something more permanent set up.
