  • Dubbo AFL club, affiliated with the AFL Central West competition, are seeking coaching applications for the 2026 season for all eight teams including senior grades; tier 1 men, women and tier 2 men. Junior grade; under 17's, Youth Girls, Under 14's, Under 12's, Superkick & Auskick Coordinator

    The coach’s role is to manage the on-field performance of the club’s team and develop and recruit the overall men’s, women’s or juniors playing list. The coach will need to have good communication with all levels of players within the playing group, from senior team members to under 18’s. Our Club pride themselves on supporting club sponsors and continually developing a positive club culture. Applicants should have or be willing to obtain Level 1 Coaching accreditation at minimum. Coaches applying for junior grades will also need a current Working with Childrens Check. Junior Coaches need additional skills communicating with parents and understanding of the unique challenges involved in working with children. Other key attributes for the role include excellent organisational skills, availability to regularly attend after training dinners and post-game events at sponsor venues, and provide coaching updates to the committee at meetings.
  • Applications will be reviewed by the 2026 committee who will arrange interviews between applicants and the DAFL Board. Recommendations will then be made regarding coaching appointments.
  • The successful applicant will work closely with players, other coaches and committee in supporting the ongoing success and sustainability of AFL at the Dubbo Demons. Other supporting staff such as Assistant Coach, Team Managers, runners etc can either be provided by the club or by the successful applicant.
