The Businessperson of the Year award recognizes an individual who demonstrates outstanding leadership, business success, and a commitment to community impact. This prestigious honor celebrates those who drive economic growth, inspire others, and contribute to the betterment of Louisa County.
Who can submit a nominee for Businessperson of the Year?
- Any community member, business, or organization may submit a nominee.
- Self nomination is acceptable.
- Nominators may submit multiple nominations for different individuals.
Who is eligible to be the Businessperson of the Year?
To be considered, nominees must meet the following requirements:
- Must be an individual owner or associated with a member business in good standing of the Louisa County Chamber of Commerce.
- Must have at least one full year of Chamber membership.
- Must not be serving on the Board of Directors of the Chamber at the time of the award.
- Must have made a significant impact on the local economy and/or the business community in Louisa County.
How will the finalists and winner be selected?
- All eligible nominees will be contacted to submit an Nominee Info Request Form (details below).
- Info Request Forms are submitted by nominee by deadline.
- All completed Nominee Info Request submissions will be reviewed by the Businessperson of the Year Selection Committee, consisting of past recipients and Chamber board.
- Selection committee will evaluate nominees based on achievements, leadership, business success, innovation, and community impact.
- Up to four finalists will be selected and recognized at the Businessperson of the Year Celebration & Annual Meeting.
