A Gentle Transition into a Lasting Tribute

If you are on this form, chances are you are currently navigating a tender & painful chapter in your life. When a beloved companion passes, there’s an ache that settles into quiet corners of the home and heart. In the stillness that follows, preservation offers a way to honor that life with intention and dignity. Through the art of natural memorial work, I’m here to create a resting state that reflects a gentle transition from life into stillness, where your memories remain rooted. Each animal I preserve is treated with the same reverence I would give to my own. The entire process happens slowly, mindfully, and entirely by hand. I dry and forage my own florals, foliage, and natural materials, often from the same landscapes we shared with them; woods, fields, gardens. My memorials are often framed or displayed in antique or vintage displays that I scavenge and restore, some are upwards of 100+ years old. Along with which many contemporary options are available as well. These aren’t just animals. They are companions, souls, and a part of the fabric of our days. I consider it an honor to help preserve that bond not just as a keepsake, but as a continuation of love. I know this is a long form, but I have a lot I need to get to know about you & your pet! Pet Memorial Application

A 50 percent deposit is required within 24 hours of application approval. Only submit this form if you are ready to move forward with a memorial & pay deposit. This application does NOT commit you to a project, but I receive a high volume of early inquiries such as “for when my pet passes.” After I review your application, I will contact you with a more accurate quote. You will then have the opportunity to either proceed with the commission or decline services.

Was your pet on medications prior to passing? If so, what?
Many antibiotics or medications can cause neon yellow bones that cannot be whitened/removed. Keep this in mind when committing to a pet memorial.
Did your pet have any illness or disease?
This will NOT affect approvals. I have my own live pets at home & need to be prepared for extra precautions if necessary.
Is your pet starting to decay?
Decomposing pets won’t qualify. If I receive your pet & they are decomposing, Your deposit is non-refundable & you will be responsible for shipping back to you. You will have 48 hours to respond & arrange shipping before I dispose of your pet. Freeze your pet IMMEDIATELY upon passing.
What do you want done?
Wet specimen in a jar, Full body in tact Skeleton, mummification, disarticulated cleaned bones(cleaned bones -loose), Skull only, pelt/hide preservation (reptiles included)
What is your budget?
For approval it must meet above minimums, but we can discuss a smaller minimum on case by case scenarios

Answering “no” will NOT effect eligibility. I respect pet owner’s discretion or comfortability. May be used for tutorials as educational content for new preservationists, or to help new pet owners find me. I intend to keep all content respectful but please feel free to reach out with specific content boundary requests.

May I Re-purpose, Recycle, Re-use any excess remains at my discretion? (Read below)
A few reasons I ask this question. 1. It is not free to dispose of bio-material, this eliminates extra disposal fees. 2. I highly believe in utilizing most (if not all) of the animal, as to not waste -out of respect for the animal.

WHEN BUYING YOUR SHIPPING LABEL:

Buy your label online via third party site like "pirate ship" overnight shipping depending on location via UPS is typically $50-120. If you GO IN PERSON, overnight shipping is typically $135-225!

Signature Acknowledgment: Signing below is not a commitment to place an order for a pet memorial. However, a signature is required for your application to be reviewed and considered. By signing, I confirm that I have read, understood, and agree to all terms and disclosures outlined in this entire form/contract. I understand that once my application is approved, I have the right to decline services using open communication. I acknowledge that organic material may not respond predictably to the preservation process, and I agree that Beetle Soup is not liable for any unforeseen issues that may occur while my pet is in their care. I understand that Beetle Soup is not liable for any mail carrier issues (lost, stolen, misdelivered) If I decide to proceed with pet memorial services I am ready to pay a 50% deposit within 24 hours of application approval. If I decide to decline services, I agree to notify Beetle Soup within 24 hours of application approval. I understand that failing to follow shipping instructions will result in NO deposit refunds and/or a +$200 fee to work on a rotten animal. I understand that I am solely responsible for handling postal claims if an issue arises and release Beetle Soup and its owner of responsibility for mail carrier errors.
