  • Pet Memorial Application

A 50 percent deposit is required within 24 hours of application approval. Only submit this form if you are ready to move forward with a memorial & pay deposit. This application does not commit you to a project, but I receive a high volume of early inquiries such as ā€œfor when my pet passes.ā€ After I review your application, I will contact you with a more accurate quote. You will then have the opportunity to either proceed with the commission or decline services.

  • Current Wait Time

There is an estimated 2-month wait before project start dates. This timeline will be updated as I work through existing commissions. If you choose to apply and reserve a spot despite the wait, a 50 percent deposit is still required. This deposit secures your place in line and covers safe storage of your pet in my care until preservation begins.
  • Oxidation vs. Articulation

Oxidation (small animals only): An easier & more efficient, chemical method used to break down soft tissue while leaving vital connective tissue in tact. Ideal for small specimens where tissue volume is low and bones are fragile. It’s effective for preserving fine structures without harsh cleaning or loss of small bones in order to preserve full skeletons in tact without having to piece together. Not suitable for large animals because the thick muscle mass and dense tissue makes this process impossible.

Ā Articulation (large animals only):Ā A longer, more manual & involved process ofĀ structural reassembly of fully cleaned bones piece by piece, typically prepared using dermestid beetles or maceration -This process I would manually reassemble each piece into a complete skeleton using wire, glue, and supports. Suitable for larger species where oxidation isn’t viable. This process takes longer & is more difficult then oxidation due to animal size & method difficulty

    Storage and Communication

•Clients receive 30 days of free storage after notification that their pet is complete and ready for return.
After the 30-day period, a $5 per day storage fee will apply until the remaining balance is paid and shipping or pickup is arranged.
Due to limited workspace and multiple ongoing commissions, clients are expected to complete payment and arrange your pet's return promptly after notification.
If you require additional time, please communicate this in advance.

    Abandoned Orders

If there is no response for 30 consecutive days following notification, despite multiple reminders, or if communication ceases entirely, the pet will be resold to recover costs, and the deposit will be void and non-refundable.

Ā If your pet memorial application is approved and you do not respond with a decision, or if you confirm your intent to proceed but fail to submit a deposit or communicate any changes in plans within a maximum of 7 days, you forfeit eligibility for future commissions. I simply ask for clear communication and timely responses so my time is respected.

    Shipping Responsibility

Shipping to and from the studio is the responsibility of the client and is not included in the original preservation quote.
I am not liable for lost or delayed mail.

    Refund Policy

Deposits are non-refundable. Once deposit is paid, I start buying supplies I need.Ā Once preservation begins, the process cannot be reversed. If you are unsatisfied with the final result, no refund will be issued. If you fail to pay the remainder balanceĀ your pet will be resold to recover costs.
I provide detailed communication and progress updates throughout the process, allowing time for feedback before completion.
If your pet is lost in transit before it reaches me, your deposit will be fully refunded, as this is outside of our control. Willingly backing out of a commission is not a reason for a refund & will be denied.

    Expectations and Materials

I do not claim to produce perfect work. All memorials are handcrafted with care, but results may vary due to the nature of organic materials (the animal).Ā
Please review my portfolio via my website and Instagram before submitting a request, and understand that natural variations in preservation outcomes are to be expected. If your pet had any illness (sometimes hidden illnesses) this can effect bone delicacy or porosity & may respond poorly to processing, deteriorating the bones. If your pet was on any antibiotics or medications, there is a chance of them having stained bones (often neon-like yellow) that usually can not be removed. Common medications include Tetracyclines: doxycycline or oxytetracycline. These can bind to the calcium in their bones and fluoresce them permanently.Ā

    Timeline

The preservation process for full body skeletons typically takes six to twelve months for proper completion.
This timeline does not include waiting periods if other clients are ahead of you. This is just an estimate & could be completed sooner.
Your patience is appreciated as I prioritize quality and detail in every project.

    Shipping Policy

I will package your animal, weigh the package, and purchase your shipping label. All shipments include insurance, tracking, and a signature requirement upon delivery to protect your memorial, along with double boxing each memorial with excess padding. All shipping fees are the buyer's responsibility. This policy is non-negotiable. Please monitor tracking and ensure someone is available to sign for the package upon delivery. Expect shipping fee to be included in your last payment.Ā

Ā I am not financially or legally responsible for lost or damaged mail.Ā I have never had a memorial get lost or arrive damaged due to the protocols I set in place but that being said, I am not Amazon, so unfortunately you’ll be responsible for handling claims with the postal office yourself if needed.
