ATTENTION!

Before completing this application, you need the following items:

1. 3-5 Photos of your product, booth, and logo (if applicable).  Photos can be added to this application.
2. Proposed items to be sold and cost per item
3. Proof of SC Retail License if required by Department of Revenue (more information on this listed in application)
4. $25 Vendor Fee due upon submission

Product: What are we looking for?

• Makers and their products must meet the guidelines following the definition of Artisan: a worker in a skilled trade, especially one that involves making things by hand
• Commercial items and direct sales will not qualify for this event
• Makers will be accepted based on uniqueness of their product, quality of the brand they’ve created, proximity to Greer, SC, and will be considered in the order in which complete applications are received.

Thank you for your interest in vending opportunities. The City of Greer hosts a variety of festivals and events throughout the year. The City of Greer is dedicated to the support of local vendors who offer local products and services.

Vendors

• Vendors must supply their own tent, tables, and chairs. 

• Power is available, but not always guaranteed.

• Duplicate products may be denied entry. In the case of duplicate items, the grading criteria is as follows: level of innovative products, City of Greer status, booth appearance, and value of products.  

• A State of South Carolina Retail Business License may be required.

Getting Accepted

• Application and vendor fee must be received no later than 5:00pm on Friday, March 28, 2025 to be considered.

• Please either drop off the vendor fee check at Greer City Hall or mail to City of Greer, Attn: Events Division, 301 E. Poinsett St., Greer SC 29651.  Check can be made payable to City of Greer.

• Applications will be reviewed and approved by the City of Greer Events Division.  The reviewing of applications will begin the week following the application deadline. All decisions are at the discretion of the Events Staff.

Maker Participation Requirements

• Maker to provide tent, tables, and chairs.  The City will provide a 10 ft. X 10 ft. space.  No tables, chairs, or tents will be provided.

• Each participant must remain intact and selling from 5:00pm - 8:00pm.  Set up must be complete by 4:30pm.  

• Electricity is not always guaranteed and might be provided based on need and order of application submission.

• A South Carolina Retail License may be required.  Please follow the SC Department of Revenue's policies which can be can be found at https://dor.sc.gov/tax-index/registration/Pages/licensing-retail-license.aspx.  It states that, "Artsists, craftsman, and hobbyists who participate as vendors only at craft shows and festivals more than four times in a fiscal year, where they are selling products that they have created or assembled, must have an Artist & Craftsman Licesnse ($20) to charge and collect the 6% statewide Sales & Use Tax along with any applicatable local taxes.  If they sell their products anywhere other than craft shows, events, or festivals, including online sales, they must have a Retail License ($50)..."

Event Set-Up

May 23, 2025 - 3:00pm - 4:30pm

• Vendors may unload/load from the Poinsett St. Traffic Circle or along Cannon Street.  Please unload your items, move your vehicle to a parking space, and then set up your booth.  No vehicles can stay parked in these unloading areas.
• Vendors will have designated booth spots that will be sent to them in a map prior to event date.
• Vendor vehicles must be parked in designated parking areas after 4:30pm.

No vehicles are allowed on grass or sidewalks.

Event Breakdown

May 23, 2025 - After 8:00pm

• A vehicle should never be driven into the event area until the event has officially ended at 8:00pm

• Vendors are responsible for leaving their area free of garbage.  Boxes must be broken down before thrown away.

 Rain Date/Refund

• There is no rain date for Food Truck Rollout and the event is considered rain or shine.  If weather prevents the event from taking place due to safety hazards, no refunds will be issued.

Money Handling

• All Vendors will keep 100% of all profits.

• All vendors must accept and be prepared to process all payments in the form of cash, credit/debit, Apple Pay, Venmo, ect. and must pay relevant state and local taxes for the sale of merchandise during the event. 

• For the processing of card payments, Apple Pay, Venmo, etc., please be prepared for no wi-fi access.

• Vendors must provide their own cash boxes. Vendors are responsible for collecting and safeguarding all money. The City of Greer is not responsible for any lost or stolen money.

Taxes

Booth Item Liability

• Items brought on site are done so at the sole risk of the vendor. The City of Greer is not responsible for any loss, damage, or destruction of personal property, equipment, and/or valuables.

Behavior of Vendors

• Behavior by vendors, their family members or employees that is disruptive, abusive or threatening towards other members, the public, or staff members is prohibited. Behavior that is verbally or physically abusive, dangerous, or disruptive to Event activities also will not be tolerated, and may result in immediate termination or the vendors selling rights.

• Vendor will be held responsible for any and all damage that occurs to City property either by vendor, staff of vendor, or vehicle of vendor.

• Foul or offensive language will not be tolerated at the event. Repeated violation may result in suspension from any future events at the City of Greer.

• No open alcoholic beverages or firearms may be brought onto state property. Vendors and the vendors’ associates are not permitted to be intoxicated on site.

• Vendors may not sell or offer any products or literature deemed offensive, or which may incite violence, crime, or disorderly conduct, or promote political viewpoints.

• Smoking will only be permitted in festival designated smoking areas.

• Vendors are responsible for their children and guests at all times.

• Vendors animals or pets may not be present at this event at any time. Unless, otherwise discussed with event staff.

• NO HAWKING
