    To apply for the retreat, please read and fill out the application as completely and thoughtfully as possible

  • Monastic Registration

    If you are a monastic (monk or nun), please email guestprefect_m@drba.org (monks) or guestprefect_f@drba.org (nuns) to receive the registration form and information for monastics.

  • The Guan Yin retreat is an intensive experience and all participants are expected to participate in the full schedule. Therefore, we only accept participants over the age of 18.

    If you are under 18 and sincerely interested in attending, you can make a special request by emailing extension@drbu.edu. 

  • We have limited spaces and require full attendance at this retreat, starting from the Orientation on Saturday night and ending with the Closing Round on Sunday morning.

    Dharma Realm Buddhist University Extension endeavors to make its classes, retreats, and programs open to people of all economic backgrounds by providing scholarships for those who have a genuine need and a sincere aspiration to study the Dharma.

  • Determining Your Contribution

    The full retreat fee is $350. We invite participants to contribute what they can between the minimum amounts below and the full program fee. Please thoughtfully consider your financial situation and contribute as generously as you are able. Your higher contribution enables us to continue offering reduced fees to those with limited means.


    Minimum Contribution Levels:

    College students (full-time): $25
    All others: $50

  • Cancellation Policy: For cancellations made 10 days prior to arrival day, refunds will be available minus the $25 or $50 minimum payment. Cancellations made less than 10 days before retreat arrival day do not qualify for a refund. Registration is non-transferable.
