Material Matters | CV/Arts + Chamber Business Hub Art Exhibition

The Open Call for Material Matters opens on February 15th and closes on March 20th at 5:00 PM.

Material Matters delves into the gravity of medium choice for artists, emphasizing how intentionality, experimentation, and material communication shape both the artist's process and the completed works.

We invite submissions from artists who push the boundaries of material use, wielding their chosen mediums to communicate meaning, challenge perceptions, and amplify the possibilities of materials.

Artwork Submission

You may submit up to two artworks for consideration. Please include the following information about the work(s) you are submitting. Note that the selection committee may select 0-2 of works submitted. PLEASE NOTE THAT THE QUALITY OF YOUR DOCUMENTATION WILL HAVE AN IMPACT ON THE ADJUDICATION PROCESS. ENSURE THAT YOUR WORK IS WELL LIT, IN FOCUS AND PROPERLY CROPPED.

Application Fees 

General Submissions are set at $25, with a reduced fee of $5 for artists under the age of 25 and Indigenous artists. If you have any questions about fees, please contact events@comoxvalleyarts.com.
