Junior Guides Raft Camp -Ducks Program- is a fun educational rafting adventure for kids age 6-9 years old. Camp Counselors will raft with Duck campers on the mild class 2 section of the American River, knowns as the Tom Sawyer float. It's anything but mild, with wild seven year olds who need to be reminded to keep their feet up, don't dive, and for goodness, sake, stay hydrated! Camp counselors assist commerical river guides with safety and supervision of fun educaitonal and crafts. Gear and meals included. Successful applicants will participate in a group zoom call with all sessions' camp counselors and will need to pass a 30 minute online video series about rafting, prior to camp starting.
Applications due by February 20, 2025, or until positions are filled.
We seek one or two counselors per session.
Successful candidates are expected to be mature, collaborative, and accountable.
