  • Ellsworth FFA Alumni Scholarship Post Secondary

  • This annual scholarship has been established by the Ellsworth FFA Alumni to support continuing education to an individual with Agriculture interest. It requires education and unique abilities to work in an Agricultural related field. You will be eligible to apply for a post- secondary scholarship starting in the spring of your freshman or first year of college or vocational school. You may reapply each year thereafter until you have received a maximum

  • The scholarship committee will use the following criteria:

  • 1. Completed computer-generated application. No handwritten applications will be accepted.

    2. Course study and grade point average. a. Post-Secondary Transcript must be included at the time of application.

    3. Work/volunteer experience related to Agriculture and future career choice.

    4. Minimum of two letters of recommendation.

    a. These letters may or may not be written by an instructor or professor. b. The letters are NOT to be written by immediate family members.

  • Student application requirements:

  • 1. Must be a graduate of Ellsworth High School and an Ellsworth FFA member or present Ellsworth

    2. Must be in good academic standing with higher education institutes.

    3. All Scholarship winners will be required to work at the pull during the year of their application for a minimum of one 4-6 hour shift. If you apply and are awarded a scholarship, you must work at the tractor pull that same year of the scholarship application. (If a summer internship prevents you from working, you must talk with Mrs. Christenson to make arrangements to put in your time before the pull) a. The Tractor Pull date is June 7, 2025, with the tractor pull rain date of June 8, 2025

    4. Applicants have one academic year to use scholarships for college and/or vocational courses. a. Non-accredited agriculture-related training/classes may be substituted with prior approval from the scholarship committee. 5. Scholarship will be announced at the FFA Awards Banquet on May 16, 2025, and during the June Showdown in Curdtown Annual Tractor Pull.
