Stephen Kastberg Memorial Scholarship
These annual scholarships have been established by the Ellsworth FFA Alumni to support continuing education to an individual that has been involved in the Ellsworth FFA Chapter. The Stephen Kastberg Memorial Scholarship is designated for Agricultural related course study only, maximum of one per year is awarded. The Ellsworth FFA Alumni Scholarship(s) for high school senior applicants can choose any field of study, with no minimum or maximum number of scholarships or awarded amount predetermined. The scholarship applications must be typed. Handwritten scholarships will not be accepted. A digital copy of the scholarship can be obtained from the high school agricultural education instructor. The scholarship committee will use the following criteria: 1. Completed computer generated application.

2.Course study and grade point average. Must Attach a transcript from the Guidance Counselor 3. Work/volunteer experience related to Agriculture and future career choice. Plus, tractor pull help. 4.Minimum of one letter of recommendation. a. This letter does not have to be from a teacher.

b. This letter is NOT to be written by an immediate family member.

5.Weighted point system based on FFA participation.

Student application requirements: Applicant must be a current member of the Ellsworth FFA chapter at time of application. Must be in good academic standing. All Scholarship winners will be required to work at the pull during the year of their application for a minimum of one 4-6-hour shift. Meaning that if you apply and are awarded a scholarship, you must work at the tractor pull that same year of scholarship application. (If a summer internship prevents you from working, you must talk with Mrs. Christenson to make arrangements to put in your time prior to the pull) Tractor Pull date is June 7, 2025, with tractor pull rain date of June 8, 2025 Applicants have one academic year to use scholarship for college and vocational courses. Non-accredited Agriculture related training/classes may be substituted with scholarship committee prior approval. The scholarship(s) will be announced at the FFA Awards Banquet May 16, 2025.
