Dear Applicant,
We are glad to launch a new edition of the RES4Africa Academy Technical and Vocational School training, powered by RES4Africa and Enel Foundation and implemented by Strathmore University, in collaboration with AVSI Foundation, St. Kizito VTI, and other local, regional and international partners.
The training will take place in Nairobi, Kenya, between 7-11 April 2025, according to the standard curriculum on PV systems and solar mini-grids developed by RES4Africa and Strathmore University, and focus on "Micro-Grid Academy - Module 1: Decentralised Renewable Energy Systems", namely:
Module 1.1: Introduction to renewable energy (demand and resources, with country focus);
Module 1.2: Renewable and non-renewable generation solutions;
Module 1.3: Community needs assessment and impact evaluation.
The course is open to about 25 participants. Eligible profiles include students, technicians, operators, managers, entrepreneurs and other professionals dealing with the RE sector. English proficiency is required. Applicants under 30 and women (of any age) are strongly encouraged to apply.

Note: Training fees include course materials, meals during training, and field visit activities at the premises of the organizing entities in Kenya (if foreseen). They do NOT include any VISA, flights/ transportation, accommodation and in-country travel costs during the training period.
