Arthur F. Hennessey, Jr. Memorial Scholarship 2025 Application
In addition to assisting students with furthering their education, this award honors the memory of Arthur F. Hennessey, Jr., who gave his life in Vietnam on April 19,1965 fighting for our American ideal of freedom for all. Mr. Hennessey valued enormously the sense of community and good will that he found in his hometown of West Falmouth, MA. As the scholarship honors Arthur F. Hennessey Jr., it is offered to one or two students who reside in West Falmouth or can demonstrate strong ties to the community of West Falmouth.
The following need to be submitted to be considered for the Hennessey Scholarship (incomplete applications will not be reviewed):
- Completed application
- Most recent school transcript including standardized test scores
- A resume including awards, work experience, and extracurricular activities
- Two recommendations
- One must be from your guidance counselor,
- The second can be from a person of your choice (i.e., teacher, coach, or employer. Recommendations with a conflict of interest will not be accepted)
All recommendations must be emailed to wfl.scholarship@gmail.com
The above documents must be submitted by April 7, 2025. Late submissions or incomplete applications will not be considered. If you are unable to upload your resume and transcript below you will need to email them to wfl.scholarship@gmail.com.
