PHARM READY Summer Program

Congratulations! You have been selected to participate in the 2026 HU PHARM READY Summer Residential Learning Experience from June 15-19, 2026.

Over the span of five days, you will learn about the role of a pharmacist, reside in a residential hall, tour a pharmacy, learn professional etiquette, participate in a panel discussion with alumni of Hampton University School of Pharmacy, and visit Busch Gardens in Williamsburg, Virginia!

To accept or decline this offer, please read and complete this Orientation Guide and Participation Agreement Form. You will be asked whether or not you'd like to accept the offer towards the end of the form.

 

Note: If you do not submit your completed Participation Agreement form within three days of receiving this communication, this offer will be released from your consideration.

All Students and Parents must read each section of this guide. The information contained in this guide will help you make an informed decision regarding participation in the HU PHARM READY Summer Residential Learning Experience.

ALL Students and Parents must read and complete the PARTCIPATION AGREEMENT FORM in its entirety and must submit it no later than three days from the date of this offer letter.

Your student will:

• Learn about the role of a pharmacist.
• Learn Professional Etiquette
• Participate in a White Coat Ceremony.
• Participate in a Pharmacy Practice Lab and Research Lab Activity.
• Tour a Pharmacy within a local community.
• Engage in a panel discussion with alumni of the HU Pharmacy School.
• Experience college life by spending 5 days on the beautiful campus of Hampton University.
• Visit Busch Gardens in Williamsburg, Virginia.

You and your student will be expected to:

• Complete the Hampton University Undergraduate Application for Summer Only Enrollment before Wednesday, April 1, 2026.

• Complete the 2026 HU PHARM READY Application before Wednesday, April 1, 2026.
• If you were not eligible to receive a scholarship for participation in HU PHARM READY Program, pay the $1,000.00 registration fee before Wednesday, April 1, 2026.
• Have physical examination completed by physician and submit medical clearance forms by Wednesday, April 1, 2026, to Dr. Nadie DuBose via email at nadie.dubose@hamptonu.edu.

• Participate in all HU PHARM READY Activities listed on the Program Schedule.
• Abide by all policies, regulations and guidelines established by Hampton University.
  Read and uphold the Hampton U. Code of Conduct

• Registration Fee is $1,000.00
• This registration fee will cover program expenses which include the following: meals, housing, transportation, White coat, T-shirts, admission to Busch Gardens in Williamsburg, Virginia.
• Submit your $1,000.00 registration fee in the form of a cashier’s check or money order by mail to:

Students may choose to bring spending money for the trip to Williamsburg, Virginia or to purchase any additional items on the campus of Hampton University.

This agreement documents your final decision to accept or decline the offer to participate in the 2026 HU PHARM READY SUMMER LEARNING EXPERIENCE. After your careful review of the Orientation guide in its entirety, this Participation Agreement must be completed by clicking the Submit.
