Position Overview:
The Registered Nurse (RN) provides comprehensive nursing care, assesses patients’ health status, develops care plans, and delivers treatments in collaboration with the healthcare team. RNs work in various environments, including hospitals, long-term care homes, and outpatient clinics, ensuring high standards of patient care and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and create individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders.
- Provide direct patient care, including critical care, wound management, and pain management.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans as necessary.
- Educate patients and families on health issues, treatments, and preventive care.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated care.
- Supervise and mentor LPNs, nursing assistants, and other healthcare staff.
- Ensure accurate documentation of patient care and progress.
- Adhere to all infection control practices and safety protocols.
Required Certifications:
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) certification from the applicable regulatory body.
- Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience, preferably in specialty areas like critical care, emergency, or medical-surgical nursing.
- Additional certifications may be required for specialized roles (e.g., ACLS for critical care).
