Terms & Conditions: updated 05/07/2026

• First-time Artists with The Frenchmen are committing to 3 months minimum, then month-to-month after the completion of the initial 3 months.
  
  
• Rent Invoices are sent out every month on the 21st. Monthly rent is due by the 1st of each month and considered late by the 6th. After the 5th day of the month, unpaid rent is considered late and will receive an additional 5% fee. If rent is not received by the 30th, your items will be considered abandoned property and will become the property of The Frenchmen.
  
  
• All possible care will be taken to protect your artwork/items, however The Frenchmen will assume no liability for any damages. 
  
  
• All paintings/wall art must have hanging hardware.
  
  
• All art must be signed, tagged with prices, titled, and the artist's name. It must also contain no orders such as smoke, food or animal.
  
  
• No restocking or removal of artwork on the day of The Frenchmen Market (2nd Friday of every month).
  
  
• If you participate in The Frencmen Market and/or The Frenchmen District, removing inventory from The Frenchmen on market nights is not allowed. 
  
  
• If your art exceeds your space, you will be asked to take the remaining work home. 
  
  
• If you desire to use/provide your own fixture(s)/display(s) in order to create a catered appeal, it must be pre-approved by The Frenchmen. We ask that you do not purchase fixture(s)/display(s) in advance to avoid any unnecessary cost to you.
  
  
• With a few exceptions, your work may be moved to a different space periodically to keep The Frenchmen looking fresh. Exceptions include, but not limited to, Artists occupying closet and room space.
  
  
• If you have a change of address, email or number, please update us.
  Artists/vendors receive 75% of sales. We will be paying the 10% Sales Tax (5% City of Mobile, 1% Mobile County and %4 State of Alabama) through The Frenchmen.
  
  
• Vendor payouts will be initiated, by the end of the first full calendar week of each month, once your monthly rental has been paid.
  
  
• If you plan to leave The Frenchmen, a minimum of two (2) weeks written notice is required so we can safely remove and schedule the return of your items. ALL removals must be scheduled by appointment through our email @ thefrenchmenmobile@gmail.com. If your items remain unclaimed after the 7th of the following month and no pickup appointment has been scheduled, they will be considered abandoned property and become the property of The Frenchmen.

• The Frenchmen is committed to showcasing authentic, human-created art. We do not allow any AI-generated artwork, photography, imagery, or designs to be displayed, sold, or promoted within our shop. This includes pieces that have been substantially created, altered, or enhanced using artificial intelligence tools. All artwork, prints, and creative products must be the vendor’s original work, created using traditional, digital, or photographic methods that involve human creativity and authorship. If AI-generated art is discovered, the vendor will be required to immediately remove all related items from the shop. In addition, no refund will be issued for rent paid, and the vendor agreement may be subject to termination. Our goal is to maintain artistic integrity, celebrate genuine talent, and protect the authenticity that defines The Frenchmen community.

• The Frenchmen team strives to respond to all vendor questions and requests promptly. All vendor communication must be made via email @ thefrenchmenmobile@gmail.com or by calling the shop at (251) 300-5044 and leaving a message with staff. We will respond as soon as possible. Please note that we do not respond to vendor messages via our personal social media accounts or personal cell phones for business or operational matters.
  
  
• The Frenchmen reserves the right to update these Terms & Conditions at any time without notice. However, we will strive to notify you promptly.
