Illuminate MADD California
Illuminate MADD California is a powerful initiative launched in 2022 by MADD California. Now in its 4th year and proudly celebrating MADD’s 45th anniversary, this campaign honors and remembers the victims of drunk and drugged driving by illuminating landmarks, buildings, and homes in red. The color red, MADD’s signature color, symbolizes the courage and strength of victims and their families. This annual occasion marks the kickoff of the holiday season, spotlighting efforts to save lives during one of the most dangerous times of the year on our nation’s roadways: the period between Thanksgiving and New Year’s Day.Illuminate MADD California also serves as a call to action raising awareness about the dangers of impaired driving, promoting safer traffic measures, and encouraging responsible hosting. By lighting up our communities in red, MADD aims to remind everyone of the importance of safe driving practices and reinforce its mission to eliminate drunk and drugged driving.Join MADD in solidarity as we honor and remember all those whose lives have been forever changed by this 100% preventable crime. MADD California invites families and community partners to illuminate a special place at home or at their place of business in red, showing support for victims and helping spread the message of prevention and hope.
