A free service of the Grayson County Sheriff’s Office:
A commitment to complete the 12-week academy will be required.
Classes are held at the Grayson County Courthouse, Assembly Room, 100 W Houston St, Sherman, Texas, on Tuesdays from 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm.

Applicants for the Grayson County Sheriff’s Citizen’s Academy must meet the following requirements for admission:
Applicants must sign a waiver of liability.
Applicants must not have a criminal history.
Applicants must be 18 years of age.
Applicants must live, work, or attend school in Grayson County.
Applicants must be willing to attend the entire academy.
Academy Dates are April 8th through June 24th on Tuesday nights from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm.
