On-site Child Care Registration

Sunhouse Babysitting Agency is offering child care services during the Annual Meeting from Thursday June 12 to Saturday, June 14. Services are available for children ages 3 and over that include planned activities, lunch and snacks. Drop off/pick up will be at a designated meeting room at the Fairmont Waterfront Hotel, nearby the Vancouver Convention Centre.

Parents/Guardians can register for the individual days they require childcare until May 1st 2025, with payment collected on May 7th, 2025. Sunhouse can also offer after hours services outside of the conference hours. For any questions, contact hello@sunhousebabysitting.ca.

Sunhouse Babysitting On-Site Childcare Waiver & Release of Liability

I, the undersigned parent/guardian, acknowledge and agree to the following terms regarding my child(ren)’s participation in the on-site childcare services provided by Sunhouse Babysitting at the Fairmont Waterfront Hotel from June 11-14, 2025:

Assumption of Risk: I understand that while Sunhouse Babysitting takes all reasonable precautions to ensure a safe environment, there are inherent risks associated with childcare, including but not limited to minor injuries, illnesses, or other unforeseen incidents.
Release of Liability: I hereby release, waive, and discharge Sunhouse Babysitting, its employees, contractors, affiliates, and the Fairmont Waterfront Hotel from any and all claims, liabilities, or damages arising from any injury, illness, or incident that may occur while my child(ren) is/are in their care, except in cases of gross negligence or willful misconduct.
Medical Emergencies: In the event of an emergency, I authorize Sunhouse Babysitting staff to seek medical treatment for my child(ren) as deemed necessary. I understand that I am responsible for all medical expenses incurred.
Behavior & Dismissal: I acknowledge that Sunhouse Babysitting maintains a safe and respectful environment. If my child exhibits disruptive or unsafe behavior, I understand that I may be contacted for immediate pickup and that no refund will be issued for that day.
Food & Allergies: I understand that food is available for purchase but is not provided by Sunhouse Babysitting. I have disclosed all known allergies or medical conditions and take full responsibility for any necessary precautions.
After-Hours Babysitting: I acknowledge that after-hours babysitting is arranged separately through Sunhouse Babysitting’s online booking system and is not covered under this waiver.

The Canadian Orthopaedics Association is entirely independent of the Sunhouse Babysitting Agency and cannot be held liable for any actions or oversights of childcare providers or services facilitated by the Sunhouse Babysitting Agency. The Canadian Orthopaedics Association shall not be held accountable for any personal injuries, property damages, or adverse outcomes that may arise. Childcare providers enlisted by the Sunhouse Babysitting Agency may operate as either subcontractors or employees of the organization. Sunhouse Babysitting Agency meticulously vets all childcare providers through comprehensive interviews, reference checks, background screenings, and CPR-C certifications. Sunhouse Babysitting Agency disclaims responsibility for any actions or oversights of the childcare providers it engages or services it delivers. Consequently, Sunhouse Babysitting Agency along with its subcontractors and employees, is released from any liability stemming from personal injuries or property damages incurred while children are under the care of a childcare provider arranged by the Sunhouse Babysitting Agency, and all associated claims shall be waived.

I acknowledge that all fees will be invoiced and can be paid online via credit card. Please note that all payments are non-refundable, including in cases of no-shows. All payments will be made in full by May 7th 2025.
