PLEASE NOTE: We require the following documents to process your application, so please ensure all necessary documents are submitted.
1. Latest resume
2. Valid driver's license
3. Social Security Card
4. Valid CPR certification
5. Valid CNA certification if you are a CNA; Valid PCA certification or GACCP PCA test result if you are a PCA; Valid RN license if you are a nurse
6. Latest negative TB test result (at least 3 months old). For chest X-rays, the validity is 5 years.
7. Background check from GCHEXS (RNs are exempted)
Below are additional instructions that may help if you are missing a requirement:
- Make sure all documents are valid/current.
- You may bring your Social Security Card on your orientation day if you prefer not to upload it online.
- You can get CPR Certification from Red Cross or National CPR Foundation. Here are their links:

- If TB test result is unavailable or more than 3 months old, please schedule an appointment with your primary doctor or local health department to get one. Results typically take about 3 days. Please submit your negative TB test results, as your application's progression depends on them to move to the next stage.
- If you do not have a PCA certification or you haven't taken the GACCP PCA test before, please email care@acolhomecare.com so we can send you a PCA test to answer.
Once you’ve submitted all the required documents, we’ll provide you with the details of your interview schedule.
If you successfully pass the interview, you will need to register with GCHEXS for your background check to be processed.
Even if you’ve completed a background check before, you’ll still need to initiate a new one under our company’s name. If you’ve already been fingerprinted, GCHEXS usually won’t require it again, so no extra fee is needed.
If you haven’t completed a background check and fingerprinting before, there will be a fee charged by the fingerprinting company (not our company), which we will reimburse after 60 days of work.
After we receive a satisfactory letter from GCHEXS, you’ll be asked to register in our system so we can check your references and schedule your orientation.
