JP2 Fiat (Totus Tuus) Team Application 2025
  • Saint John Paul II Fiat (Totus Tuus) Team Application 2025

    July 18-24, 2025
  • About the Fiat (Totus Tuus) Team

“Totus Tuus” is a Latin phrase meaning “Totally Yours.” We are once again following in the footsteps of our camp’s Patron Saint, Saint John Paul II, as he used the phrase “Totus Tuus” for his papal motto. St. John Paul II took this phrase from St. Louis de Montfort’s True Devotion to Mary, which was a devotion that profoundly changed his life. “Totally Yours” signifies our desire to give ourselves totally to Jesus through Mary.

“Fiat” is a Latin word meaning “let it be done,” and specifically refers to Mary’s response to the angel Gabriel at the Annunciation. Mary’s “yes” to the Lord is one that this team will strive to imitate. Mary’s surrender to God’s will and St. John Paul II’s radical commitment to Jesus through Mary is what the Fiat (Totus Tuus) Team will learn to imitate.

Members of the JP2 Fiat (Totus Tuus) Team will focus their week of camp around prayer and spiritually serving the camp. On this team, returning service team members will learn how to lead through prayer, assist in preparing the sacraments, share testimonies, and grow in their personal prayer life. This team will be led by a Prayer Director and be a steppingstone group from the physical service that the service team provides to spiritual service. The Fiat (Totus Tuus) team will also occasionally overlap with the Service Team during times of prayer and for community building.

  • Who should apply?

The Diocese of Crookston is looking for faithful young Catholics, who will be Service Team returners willing to serve our 7th and 8th graders during this summer's Saint John Paul 2 Camp. We are looking for seniors in high school who have a desire to grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ by pouring themselves out through prayer and service to others.

Qualities that we are looking for is someone who is committed to their faith, has a strong personal relationship with God, and a passion for accompanying others in the faith. Applicants should be servant-leader and feel a peace with being in the background of camp. Applicants should have a desire to learn more about Catholic teachings, scripture, and liturgical practices, and providing spiritual support to their community. Most of all, we are looking for applicants who offer a model of authentic Catholic living for others to follow. Please know that you do not need to be "perfect" to apply! We will journey together.

"Knowledge can make us great, but only love can make a saint."
