    To help us ensure a clear understanding of the expectations, responsibilities, and ethical standards for mentors working with us, we ask that you complete this form. By signing this contract, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to abide by the terms outlined. You also recognize the importance of your role and commit to upholding the values and standards of Journeymen Asheville.
  • Expectations of Mentors
    As a mentor, you are expected to:

    • Maintain Integrity: Uphold the highest standards of honesty, transparency, and ethical behavior.
    • Respect Confidentiality: Protect the privacy of mentees and their families. Do not share personal information without explicit consent.
    • Be a Positive Role Model: Demonstrate behaviors and attitudes that exemplify respect, responsibility, and integrity.
    • Commit to Consistency: Attend scheduled meetings and sessions regularly and punctually. Inform the organization in advance of any necessary absences. We do not allow more than 2 unexcused absences.
    • Engage Actively: Participate fully in training sessions, meetings, & activities. Engage with mentees sincerely & attentively.
    • Foster a Safe Environment: Create a supportive and safe space for mentees to express themselves, free from judgment or discrimination.
    • Adhere to Policies: Follow all organizational policies & guidelines, including those about safety, communication, & conduct.
