*All awards require a 2.7 cumulative GPA, and for recipients to be in good standing with Longwood University*
Emerging Leader Award
This award recognizes first- and second-year students who demonstrate appreciation for the value of Longwood’s commitment to citizen leadership and exemplify leadership by providing distinguished service to and engagement with the Longwood community. These students show initiative, commitment to growth, and potential for continued involvement and leadership throughout their remaining time at Longwood.
*Award Qualifications: Candidates must be in their first or second year at Longwood University.
Honor & Integrity Award
This award recognizes students who exemplify honorable behavior and embody the virtues of honesty, integrity, duty, good character, and rectitude in their daily lives.
Dr. P Distinguished Contributions Award
This award recognizes a senior student who, throughout their collegiate career, has been a model citizen leader and served as a positive role model for other students. This person will have also displayed outstanding involvement and leadership in campus life and have contributed significantly to the general advancement of the interests of student affairs and Longwood University.
*Award Qualifications: All candidates must be students with one semester or less left at Longwood.
Rotunda Award for Community Building
This award recognizes a student who has brought together varying segments of the campus community through their strong commitment to relationship building and desire to engage the campus community through meaningful programming.
Joan of Arc Award Visionary Leadership Award
This award recognizes outstanding leadership and commitment to the Longwood community. Through their organizational involvements and campus-wide initiatives, the recipients strive to support the development of a future community of citizen leaders working for the common good of society. These students are innovative, set clear goals for their organizations, and motivate those around them to achieve those goals.
*Award Qualifications: All candidates must have held a leadership position in a student organization this past academic year.
Citizen Leader Award
This award recognizes students who exemplify true citizen leadership by embracing diversity and demonstrating virtue, empathy, generosity, teamwork, social responsibility, and dedication to the common good through their dedication to the campus community and/or contributions to the local area.
*Award Qualifications: All candidates must be a current sophomore, junior, or senior.
Ellen Masters Award for Significant Service
This award recognizes a student whose behavior embraces civic responsibility and consistent, meaningful service to the community on a local, regional, national, or global level. The recipient has given of their time, talent, and efforts to contribute to the common good.
*Award Qualifications: All service is outside any required responsibilities.
NH "Cookie" Scott Trailblazer Award
This award is given to a student who strives for academic excellence and social justice by encouraging their peers to explore and reflect upon their multiple identities, promoting awareness of greater social inequalities, and addressing social inequities on campus.
*Award Qualifications: All candidates must be a current sophomore, junior, or senior.
