Model A Youth Restoration Award Application
The Model A Youth Restoration Award (MAYRA) is available to any MAFCA or MARC member or a child, grandchild, or great-grandchild of active MAFCA or MARC members who meet all other requirements.

Application must be submitted by May 31, 2025.

Applicants must:
- Be 14 years of age but not yet 22 on May 31 of the year of application.
- Be actively restoring or ready to start restoring his or her Model A or AA Ford when the application is submitted.
- Submit proof of ownership or a certification from the current owner that the car will become the applicants when the restoration is complete.
- Do the restoration for personal use and not for resale or on contract with another individual. It must not be a hot rod or speedster. This program is for youth restoring a Model A or AA for their benefit. Upon completion, the applicant will own the restoration project.
Prior Model A Youth Restoration Award (MAYRA) recipients must:

Meet all the requirements
Submit with the application the receipts for parts purchased with the previously awarded certificates, and
Have verbally given the progress reports requested by the MAYRA Board.

Restoration Goal

Ground-up restoration: My end goal is to have my car judged either in a fine-points or blue ribbon touring fashion (I have a chassis and many parts, but it needs a lot of work and TLC before it can be driven or judged).Almost ground-up restoration for use as a daily driver or touring car (I do not intend to perfect my car to judging standards, and its current state requires a lot of work and TLC before I will be able to drive and tour in it).Correct/repair/replace components of the car for use as a daily driver (My Model A is nearly driveable now, and it needs some finishing touches before it is road-worthy or can be judged).The Model A is now drivable (I need to repair, upgrade, or replace a few things on it to make it road-worthy or enter it to judging).

The MAYRA Board does not know anything about you or your goals and interest that you have for restoring your Model A. Take as much space as you need to answer each question. All questions must be answered.

The MAYRA Board knows nothing about you, your desire to restore a Model A, and your skills. We expect that you will learn many more by the time the car is completed.
