    Thank you for your interest in serving as a volunteer for Alabama North District Kids Camp!

    Check-In: 2:30 PM-3:30 PM
    Checkout: 11 AM
    Location: Marshall Baptist Retreat Center

    Criteria of Eligibility:  Individuals applying as volunteer staff are to be 18 years of age or older.  In keeping with Nazarene Safe requirements, individuals applying for volunteer staff MUST COMPLETE sexual abuse awareness training and background screening through your local church PRIOR TO THE FIRST DAY OF CAMP.  In addition, all volunteers must have a pastoral recommendation to serve at Kids Camp.  For the safety of our kids, only approved volunteer staff are allowed at Kids Camp activities.

    Staff to child ratio:  We ask that a church send a same-gender counselor for every six children of the same gender.

    Cost per volunteer is $140 which helps cover the cost of the volunteer’s meals, lodging, t-shirts, and other activities.  

    We strongly encourage churches to cover this fee as a way of honoring the time, energy, and sacrifice each volunteer gives to make camp possible.  Therefore, before you register, please connect with your pastor or children’s ministry leader.  If your church is finding the cost to be a challenge, please have your pastor reach out to Camp Director Mary Crane before you decide not to register.  We’re committed to finding a solution so that dedicated volunteers like you can participate! 

    Other important info:  Be sure to have your Driver’s License or State ID on hand as you will be asked to upload pictures of it to complete this registration.
