  • Our Pork Packages are created around the principle that our community supports us while we grow, nurture and take care of your food. 

    Paying ahead of time allows us to have a steady income while the animal is growing, essentially when costs are high and there is little money coming in.  Being your farmers is an honour and comes with lots of responsibility that we share with you. Welcome to our community and congratulations on not only working to support local food but also to connecting back to your food - you are in the right place. 
  • What do you get in your package? 

    Here's a list of cuts and approximate amounts 

    • Shoulder/Picnic Roast - GREAT for pulled pork
      • 2 x 5 lb roast for 1/2 hog
      • 4 x 5 lb roast for a whole hog
    • Bacon 
      • 10 x 1 lb packages of smoked bacon for 1/2 hog
      • 20 x 1 lb packages of smoked bacon for a whole hog
    • Spare Ribs
      • 1 x 5 lb for 1/2 hog
      • 2 x 5 lb for a whole hog
    • Loin/Pork Chops
      • 7 packages of 2 chops for 1/2 hog (approximate)
      • 14 packages of 2 chops for a whole hog (approximate)
    • Loin Roast
      • 2 x 5 lbs for 1/2 hog
      • 4 x 5 lbs for a whole hog
    • Pork Tenderloin
      • 1 x 1.5 lb for 1/2 hog
      • 2 x 1.5 lb for a whole hog
    • Smoked Ham
      • 4 x 5 lb roast for 1/2 hog
      • 8 x 5 lb roast for a whole hog
    • Ground Pork and/or Sausages
      • 20 lbs for 1/2 hog
      • 40 lbs for a whole hog

  • Want to try it out before truly commiting? 

    We also have a 20 lb sampler pack, that includes

    • bacon
    • 2 roasts
    • chops
    • ground pork or sausages.
  • We do not charge by hanging weight 

    A common practice among farmers is to charge customers by hanging weight, we have found this to be confusing and unnecessary for you.  We charge $9 per pound of meat that you receive, making it as convenient for you as we can possibly make it. 

  • Payment

  • In order to reserve your package, we require a non-refundable deposit.

    -$50 for the pork sampler

    -$150 for the 1/2 hog 

    -$300 for the whole hog

    This amount is applied to the total amount of your pork package.  If you are able, we encourage you to pay in full upon signing to help with the cost of raising the pigs. 

    Payment plans are available

    Your package needs to be paid in full before your pig goes for harvest.

  • *Please note that we will be in touch with you after receiving this form to confirm your order and review your submission.  There are a limited number of packages available, if we are sold out, we will offer you the chance to be placed on our waiting list for the next round or give you referral options for other local, pasture raised pork.

    Terms & Conditions

    • I acknowledge that farming is subject to risks beyond the control of Dalmeny Acres which may adversely affect the quality or quantity of the meat harvested.
    • I acknowledge that my subscription is non-refundable.
    • I acknowledge that it is my responsibility to pick up my pork at the specified time and place - I may designate someone in my place.
    • I acknowledge a non-refundable deposit is required to secure my membership upon signing. 
  • Risks of Agriculture

    I understand that one aspect of the Dalmeny Acres pork packages is to support my Farmer. To do so, the Members share in the inherent risks of agriculture (disease, injuries and so on). Your Farmer purposefully plans for such contingencies and by becoming a Member, you assume the risk should your Farmer be unable to provide a portion of the Member’s subscription due to any inherent risk of farming. Your Farmer’s #1 priority is ensuring that you, the member, is fulfilled and we will work with you collaboratively in these events.

  • Late Fees & Dealine

    I understand that a late payment will result in a fee of $25. The fee and the remaining balance owed will be due within 7 days of the payment deadline, or I forfeit my pork package.
