Community Connections Day - Thursday May 8 - Saturday, May 10, 2025

Lake Trail Community Education Society is hosting our 4th Annual Community Connections Day, expanded into three days from May 8th to May 10th!

Community Connection Day is a celebration designed to foster connections among neighbours, youth, and community partners. It aims to combat isolation, highlight a variety of services available in the Comox Valley, and, most importantly, provide a fun and enriching experience for all!

We are reaching out to community organizations, businesses and individuals to join us by offering a workshop or activity for community members. This is an opportunity to share the work you do, and be a part of a meaningful day of connections.

Workshops will be brought forward to the school administration to ensure that they are a good fit. Please note that the vision/intention of organizations must be in line with Comox Valley School's policies around volunteering https://www.comoxvalleyschools.ca/volunteering-in-comox-valley-schools/
Followed by a Garden Potluck party from 5:30-8pm. Would you like to participate in the Garden Party?

Friday May 9th is Movie Night! While youth attend the movie with supervision, parents and caregivers are invited to attend a panel discussion.
Saturday, May 10th

We invite YOU - not for profits, artists, community facilitators and animators to help make this day a success. How would you like to engage?
We would like to have a table / booth at the event with information for community members.

Half day workshops generally run for 1.5 hours. Drop in activities generally run for the full day, but can be tailored to the morning or afternoon if needed.
