Information – Terms and Conditions
Track location
The Hattah tracks are located approximately 30km south of Red Cliffs on Boonoonar
Road Colignan. These tracks are private property.
Junior race day is Saturday 4th July 2026 and located on the left hand side of Boonoonar Road (coming from Calder Highway)
Senior race day is Sunday 5th July 2026 and located on the right hand side of Boonoonar Road (coming from Calder Highway)
Caterers are responsible for any damage caused to host properties.
Catering
Caterers must adhere to health regulations regarding the safe handling of food.
There will be catering for competitors and spectators from Saturday 4th July 2026 from 6.30am to approximately 5pm, and Sunday 5th July 2026 from 6am to approximately 2pm.
Closing dates for applications
All applications must be received by 20th May 2026
Placement of facilities
All catering facilities for Saturday 4th July 2026 must be in place by 5 pm on the Friday before (4th July 2026). Caterers choosing to service both days of the event must move their facilities at the completion of the event on Saturday, and relocate to the senior side prior to 5am Sunday 5th July 2026.
Dogs
Due to public health, safety issues and Motorcycling Australia GCR’s, no dogs will be
allowed on site (service dogs excepted).
Eftpos
EFTPOS is available if using OPTUS sim cards in POS hardware (this is not guaranteed. Depending on service allowance of service providers). We suggest the use of StarLink for guaranteed service (at Caterers expense)
Emergency services
Victorian Medical Assistance Team and Country Fire Service will be in attendance.
Please contact the Race Committee members if you require any of these services or 000 in an emergency.
Gate times
Gates will open for competitors and spectators from 5.30am. There is to be no camping on-site or in the car parks.
Gas
Site holders must abide by the relevant regulations for the use of gas bottles inside
marquees and vans and must inform the organisers of their intention to use gas.
Parking
The parking areas for caterers are located within the general car parking areas of the sites and you will be provided with a parking pass to access these areas. Due to safety concerns, catering passes into the grounds will be limited. Parking within the catering area is prohibited other than tow vehicles and cold storage vehicles.
Power and water
Caterers are to provide their own power units (generators). All electrical equipment must have current test tags attached. WorkSafe conduct regular inspections at the Hattah Desert Race.
There is no permanent potable water supply available. Water must be supplied by the vendor.
Public address advertising
Advertising over our PA systems is available for the duration of the event. All radio advertisements or onsite advertising must be supplied to the Coordinator, Jenni GLEDHILL, no later than two weeks prior to the event.
Security/Safety watch
Security for the complex is engaged during the Friday and Saturday of the event. Service commences at 7pm and ceases at 7 am Friday 4th July 2026, and commences 5pm and ceases at 5am Saturday 5th July 2026. Caterers are responsible for their own security. Guards are not dedicated to third party property during their shifts.
Services
Rubbish collection is included in site fees. All rubbish is to be placed into onsite
bins/skips. Rubbish left at site and not placed within the provided bins/skips will incur an additional cleaning fee that will be determined by the Committee of the Hattah Desert Race, and payable within 7 days of invoice.
Work health and safety
All exhibitors and their employees must abide by the Occupational Health and Safety Act as it applies to Victoria. The site allocated is considered an extension of the caterer’s workplace. You and the Hattah Desert Race have a responsibility for the safety of staff and visitors to your site. A material safety data sheet must accompany any chemicals brought onto the site.
