  • *The competition qualification period for high point award calculations is
    June 1st through October 1st*

    C.Co. who are interested in hosting a competition/event early in the season (i.e. June month) MUST submit their application form well before May 1st (preferably 2-3 months in advance), as Competition Package – Part 1 is due at minimum 4 weeks prior to competition.

    Failure to provide the required documentation and/or payment on or before the date required will result in the application being rejected.

  • Officials and First Aid personnel will be approved by the NLEA upon your submission. If replacement(s) – temporary or otherwise – are necessary, please contact the NLEA immediately for re-approval.

  • Section 3: Competition Organizing Committee

  • I have read and understand the NLEA Terra Nova Series competition hosting requirements and information, and hereby submit this competition application form for conditional approval. I hereby declare that the provided information, to the best of my knowledge, is true and complete.

    I acknowledge that I am responsible for the competition and the competition will abide by the Terra Nova Series rules and the aims/objectives of the NLEA.

    I further acknowledge that the sanctioning status of my competition can be revoked at any time due to non-compliance, including applicable payment deadlines, (i.e. before, during or after), and if revoked, all competitor earned annual award points will be considered null and void for the event.

  • Section 3: GENERAL PERFORMANCE Divisions and Classes

  • Please select recognized discipline divisions (e.g. Walk Jog Division) and class types (e.g. Walk Jog Western Pleasure) that you wish to offer at your competition. Mandatory requirements for GP competitions have been automatically selected. 

    All declarable divisions (e.g. Novice, Leisure for WTJ) for selected discipline divisions are required.

    There are minimum required class types for each selected discipline division (e.g. 3 of 4 for Walk Jog Division).

    Continuing the examples above:

    • if Walk Jog Division selected.
      • selected minimum of 3 of 4 required class types:

        • WJ Western Pleasure
        • WJ Horsemanship
      • required classes to offer:
        • Novice WJ Trail
        • Leisure WJ Trail
        • Novice WJ Western Pleasure

        • Leisure WJ Horsemanship
  • If yes, you must abide by Equestrian Canada Para Dressage rules and regulations.

  • Section 4: Payment

  • Application Payment must be sent upon submission - EMT treasurer@equestriannl.ca (Password: Show2026):
    Please include the competition contact's name and reason for submitting payment in the EMT message/note.

    1. $25.00 non-refundable sanctioning fee. 
    2. $100.00 separate refundable* deposit, as an assurance for policy adherence, post-competition fee payment and results submission within the timelines required.
      • *This deposit will be refunded only when the conditions listed above are satisfied.
        • Competition organizers automatically forfeit the $100 deposit if the conditions are not satisfied within timelines required.
        • If sanctioned status is revoked at any time, all points earned by competitors are considered invalid for the competition.

    ***PAYMENT MUST BE SENT WITH APPLICATION SUBMISSION. APPLICATIONS SENT WITHOUT PAYMENT WILL NOT BE PROCESSED UNTIL PAYMENT IS RECEIVED, i.e., dates will not be confirmed as approved until payment received***

  • If there have been any changes to the contact information listed above, please let the NLEA know ASAP. Otherwise, all correspondence will be sent to the Competition Contact on file. Providing that a Competition Application Form meets all required criteria after review by the NLEA Board of Directors, the competition is considered “Conditionally Approved.”

    • The Competition Contact listed above will be contacted regarding the competition status, and the tentative date will be posted on the NLEA Calendar of Events (www.equestriannl.ca).
