About the Event
The United Women in Faith of Union United Methodist Church is excited to announce the upcoming Shower of Hope Community Resource Expo, a free event designed to provide valuable resources, information, and support to expecting mothers, families with children ranging from infancy to 4K (four-year-old kindergarten), and family caregivers.
The Shower of Hope Expo aims to connect families and caregivers with local services, programs, and organizations that promote health, education, and well-being. Attendees will have the opportunity to explore a wide range of resources, participate in interactive activities, and engage with community experts.
“We understand the challenges that come with parenting, especially for expecting moms and kinship caregivers,” said Rev. Faye Jones, Pastor and Event Visionary of Shower of Hope. “This expo is a wonderful opportunity for families to connect with vital resources and build a support network within our community.”
Thank you for joining us in empowering families and caregivers with the tools they need to thrive. Together, we can build a stronger, healthier community for our youngest generation and those who care for them.
Event Highlights Include:
Resource Booths: Meet representatives from local organizations and healthcare services offering support in areas such as prenatal care, early childhood education, childcare, nutrition, and more.
Workshops & Seminars: Participate in informative sessions on parenting tips, child development, self-care for caregivers, and navigating kinship care.
Activities for Kids: Have fun with engaging activities, including activity stations, story time, and sensory play stations.
