Senior Teen Camp is for young people entering Grade 9 to entering Grade 12.

Camp Start Time: 1:00 p.m. on July 28th

Camp End Time: 3:00 p.m. on August 1st. We have a closing program that begins at 2:00 that all are welcome to attend, followed by a baptism service for anyone interested (this is not limited to campers).

Our Teen Camp is an overnight camp program. If you have a child who, for whatever reason, is unable to stay overnight - we are certainly able to work out a Day Camp option. Please note that transportation will be the responsibility of the individual family.

Pick Up Authorization*
Please list the names of all individuals authorized to pick up the camper on the last day. We have a closing program at 2:00 that everyone is welcome to attend with the possibility of a baptism service to follow, and camp officially ends by 3:00 p.m. on the 28th. *If you teen is able to drive themselves to and from camp, please note that. Car keys will be turned in at the office until camp has ended.*
Health Conditions
Please explain any health conditions or challenges which may limit or challenge participation or relationships. This information helps us to best plan for staffing and structure for all participants.
Personal Medications
Please describe any medication the camper will be taking at camp. All medication, other than inhalers and epi-pens, must be turned in to the Health Manager to be safely stored. This information will be confirmed during in-person registration. Detailed instructions for the distribution of medication will need to be provided to the camp. All medication is locked up away from campers and dispensed by our health care provider. This includes pain medications such as Tylenol or Midol, as well as Melatonin or other supplements.
Medical/Behavioral Needs Note:

It is very important that our staff have as much up-to-date information as possible about any medical or other challenges that campers may be facing in order to ensure the best and safest experience for all involved. It is also important that campers remain consistent with any prescibed medication. Please note that it is the responsibility of the parent/guardian to notify the camp upon arrival of any and all medications and to supply the required amount for their child. This includes epipens and inhalers, as well as presciptions such as concerta.

We will pray for healing for any youth who ask, but will not stray from any medical routines without the direction of the parent/guardian.

Please be aware that our staff do not have detailed medical and behavioral management training: if your child requires support and medication in school then they should also have it for camp. We are not staffed to provide support for every special need, BUT we will do our best to work with you to ensure every young person has an opportunity to attend camp. Please contact us to work out the feasability of support workers or family members, alternate scheduling, etc. TCMA does reserve the right to limit camp programming for individuals for whom we deem it unsafe within the confines of our abilities and training.

TGC does our best to accommodate health concerns, but is currently unable to provide completely gluten free meal plans. Contact us directly via tgccamp@gmail.com to discuss ways to partner in planning for meals.

Cabin Buddies
We do try to keep campers in age-alike groups, as gr. 9s and gr. 12s can have widely different energy and interest. However, we also understand that for some campers, being with a friend is important for security and comfort - even with an age difference - and we will work to honor those requests.
Family Members Staying at Camp
I agree that a picture or video clip of my child may be used in the promotion of camp, and understand that is the only use of such a video or picture to which I am consenting.*

BAPTISM OPTION
If you know ahead of time that your camper, or anyone in your family, would like to take this step at camp - please let us know. Over the past couple of years, more and more teens ask about water baptism at camp. We support baptism at the local church, but also understand camp can be a special place for young people to make this commitment. We believe it is an important step in the Christian faith, and that it helps a Christian to move forward in a powerful life in the spirit (Acts 2:38). We spend time talking to baptismal candidates, and all of our campers, about the significance and meaning of this commitment. Baptisms will take place the last day of camp following the closing service so that friends and family can be on the grounds. WE DO NOT BAPTIZE WITHOUT CONTACTING PARENTS/GUARDIANS.
General Release and Waiver Statement

By completing registration for this camper, you attest that you are the parent/guardian with legal authorization to do so.

You hereby waive, release, and discharge any and all claims for damages and all liability for personal injury or property damages which may hereafter occur to myself or those I am registering as a result of participation in TCMA programming. This release is intended to discharge in advance TCMA, its members, employees, volunteers, and agents from liability, even though that liability may arise out of perceived negligence on the part of persons mentioned above. It is understood that some activities involve an element of risk or danger of accidents, and knowing those risks, I hereby assume those risks. It is further understood and agreed that this waiver, release, and assumption of risk is to be binding on my heirs and assignees.

You further agree to authorize the camp director and/or health manager the right to obtain or approve any medical attention necessary to the camper's welfare or good health and agree to pay for all medications and services not covered by the camper's medical insurance.

You also agree and understand that medication, supplements, or other substances that could be potentially harmful to others will not be permitted to remain with a camper in a cabin (aside from epi-pens and inhalers), and cell phones and car keys are also not permitted to remain with campers. (This includes items such as melatonin and energy drinks).

We recognize that finances can be challenging for some of our families. We offer two levels of registration fees this year: our regular cost and a 30% subsidized fee. There are no questions asked and no application is required for the subsidized fee. If you require additional support, please email us directly to arrange a plan. To pay, you can send an etransfer to tgccamp@gmail.com, mail a cheque, or pay when you arrive at the camp.
