  • AUDITION DETAILS FOR “Miss Minnie's Melodramodeon”

    This original play by Ross Collins finds Poor Miss Minnie forced tobecome the reluctant manager of her old father's melodrama theater, "TheMelodramodeon" since he has suddenly and mysteriously taken ill with afever of the mind right before the grand melodrama competition!  Throw ina devious and insincere leading man, a deceitful banker, a villainess withother worldly powers of the mind, a whacky cast of misfits and ne'er do wells,and poor Minnie will have to face her biggest challenges ever! 
  •  Auditioners should prepare:

    • 1-2 minute age appropriate comedic monologue
    • Headshot or school photo, and resume if available
    • List of possible rehearsal conflicts

  • Rehearsal Schedule

    A tentative rehearsal schedule can be viewed and downloaded below. Rehearsal dates and times are subject to change. After viewing the schedule, please mark down any conflicts your child might have between the dates of November 16 and the closing performance on January 26. Rehearsals are typically held Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays 6pm to 9pm, Saturdays 10am to 3pm. Sunday and Monday evenings are listed as possible TBA and will be called if extra rehearsals are necessary. Be sure to mark down conflicts for these days as well. A possible school day performance will be listed between the first and second weekends, and will be offered to local schools as a field trip opportunity should the cast be available to schedule it. Please be aware that we appreciate 100% participation for tech week plus all performance dates.

  • By filling out this form, I understand that by accepting a part in an FHT Youth production, I am making a commitment to be on time to all scheduled rehearsals and performances, including any tentatively scheduled performances and school day performances. I understand that FHYT does not understudy or double cast, and that school day performances will require a day off from school.

  • Parents: By filling out this form, I understand that if my child is cast in this show, there is a production fee of $100 per participant which includes a show t-shirt and a flash drive of production photos. Parents are also required to volunteer 10 hours (or opt-out fee $100). Scholarships and additional volunteer options available. No one will be denied participation basted on ability to pay. Fountain Hills Theater is a 501(c)(3) organization. All gifts are tax deductible. The Theater is 100% funded by ticket sales and donations. Ticket sales alone do not cover operating expenses. Production fees help cover the costs of the production such as construction materials, costumes, props, and royalties.
