Artful Yoga Gallery is a Not-For-Profit Art Gallery in the heart of creative hub St Kilda.
Our mission is to represent diversity and eliminate gate-keeping of artists so that they may gain exposure, recognition and opportunities in their careers.
We believe art is healing, and we need more spaces to show-case diverse artists so that we all may grow.
A group exhibition allows a more affordable rate to exhibiting, the other advantage being collective exposure through the other exhibiting artists and their communities.
Artists are able to select a wall space of choice, AYG is in charge of curation, and the artists is able to change the exhibiting pieces throughout the month as they wish (AYG will remain the sole curator throughout).
Prices start from $70 - $300/month, and curation fee's are $40 per hour to hang and create artists labels etc. marketing materials and any other art gallery services the artists may wish to include.
Summary of exhibition terms and conditions:
- Artists choose which wall space they would like, the month they wish to feature and then AYG will select the groups of artists best to collaborate with.
- Confirmed artists will be sent an agreement form and waiver to be signed and returned to AYG.
- Artists drop off works with labels at the selected dates (templates sent to artists in artist pack) to Gallery for Curation.
- Opening Exhibition is free to artists, AYG will be taking donations only to support the costs for running an opening night. A night will be selected by the Gallery in liaison with artists. Final call of opening night is based on Gallery availability.
- Upon sale of all artworks, there is a 30% commission to Gallery artists will be sent 70% of earning to nominated account within 10 business days.
- Upon sale of artwork, artists are given an opportunity to replace sold pieces during the month term. Curator costs apply at $40/hour.
- Artists will come and collect the pieces at the end of month term.
Every week the gallery will be open 3 days a week.
The days/ hours are variable and will be advised to artists each week and advertised online.
Your gallery hire includes someone opening the gallery and manning the space to sell works on artist behalf.
