Welcome to SoundStart
The SoundStart Programme is an one-week initiative designed to inspire and enlighten young people aged 16-25 (or up to 30) on working in the music industry.
Delivered in collaboration with Pro-Ex Development, Sulola Music Studios, and The King’s Trust, the programme provides hands-on experience in music production, lyric writing, and live performance while fostering transferable skills and personal growth.
Who is it for?
This programme is for young people aged 16-25 who are not currently in education, employment, or training - NEET (under 14 hours a week).
It’s perfect for those passionate about music, whether they aspire to be in the spotlight or work behind the scenes.

Here East, Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, London E15 2GW
What does it cost?
It’s completely free, and all travel and lunch costs are covered.
What will you do?
Create music, including production, lyric writing, and performance, over five days.
Work in a professional recording studio in Forest Gate, East London.
Collaborate with industry professionals and like-minded peers.
Participate in a final showcase event to present your work.
Learn about music marketing, career pathways, and building confidence.
