    A small group experience introducing you to the wisdom, support, and guidance in nature through embodied ecotherapy practices and experiences leading to certification. This class is virtual with an in-person experiential application weekend.

    PARTICIPANTS WILL LEARN:

    • Embodied practices to deepen your personal nature connections
    • Current research and ecotherapy best practices; addressing eco anxiety and ecogrief
    • Intersectionality and diversity considerations
    • Historical trauma, land stories, and deep remembering practices
    • Embodied ecotherapy strategies to integrate with DBT, CBT, SFT to address ecoanxiety and ecogrief and climate-related mental health concerns
    • Role of ceremony and council
    • Ethical considerations
    • Logistics and legal considerations

    COURSE INFO:

    • Online self-directed coursework with a required monthly Zoom group meeting
    • Access to course content in Thinkific for 1 year
    • IN PERSON immersive experience April or May 2026 Location TBA in Southeast US (this immersive experience is required for certification completion, no exceptions)

    • $800 RETURNING LEARNER (register by 8/31/25) to be eligible, you need to have taken a prior class through Thistle & Mud Earth School

    • All course fees are billed via monthly payment plans. NOTE:  Cost is calculated at approximately $20 per CEU credit hour

    40+ Contact Hours of CEU Credit available for social workers licensed in Tennessee;  other mental health professionals should check their licensure board to see if the CEUs will be accepted.
