This Royal College of Podiatry accredited course provides theoretical instruction in corticosteroid injection therapy for common musculoskeletal conditions of the foot. The course will run over two days, and will be followed by an anatomy and dissection day. Join us in the Clinical Anatomy Skills Centre at the University of Glasgow for three days focused on foot/ankle anatomy and injection techniques.
The first two days are a packed course that will appeal to those working in independent practice or NHS settings. The focus is on ensuring delegates leave with enhanced clinical tools and knowledge that they can implement in their daily practice, especially for those using advanced injection techniques.followed by a period of supervised clinical practice. To successfully complete the course and receive accreditation for it, you need to pass an end-of-course MCQ examination and complete a series of (min 10) mentored injections. This is not part of the course and will need to be arranged by you, locally.
The interactive cadaver-based course allows delegates to inject dye and dissect the associated structures to visualise the accuracy of their injection and gain a better understanding of the anatomy of the lower limb.
