  • About The Homiens Art Prize

    The Homiens Art Prize is an international art prize open to all artists and art forms. We celebrate our chosen artists across our media, exhibiting their art online where it is viewed by artists and collectors in the United States and throughout the world. Homiens sponsors a platform for artists to network and collaborate, reach a global audience of buyers and collectors, gain institutional validation, and locate international professional opportunities.

    Ownership of artworks entered remains with the artist: Artists are free to exhibit elsewhere and display their artworks elsewhere.

    Each round 6 winning artists and 12 finalists exhibit with Homiens as part of our seasonal exhibition program. In addition each winning artist also receives an unrestricted cash award of $500 USD, may participate in an optional interview, and may request a letter of recommendation from our Jurors. Up to 200 artists per round are highly commended and celebrated across our media. All entrants are considered for exhibition. View our Summer 2024 exhibition here, and our previous winners here.     How to Enter

    • To enter, complete and submit the form below.
    • All artists throughout the world may enter. To ensure equal opportunity, all entries are reviewed blind. 
    • We accept all artworks, mediums, and art forms: Including but not limited to painting, sculpture, photography, drawing, printmaking, installation, audiovisual, etc. Artworks completed in any year are eligible. There are no theme or size restrictions.
    • Selection is based on the images or links you upload: We ask that entrants do not transport or mail physical work to Homiens. You may upload up to 3 images per artwork. Video and sound based works may be of a duration up to 30 minutes.
    • There is a $30 USD fee to enter 1 artwork, and a $15 USD fee to enter each additional artwork thereafter. You may enter as many times as you like. You will receive a confirmation email.
    • Meet the Artists: Entrants may apply for this competitive, merit-based creative networking initiative.
    • Promoted Artists: Entrants may apply to have their work featured across our media.
    • The Jurors will be Director of Homiens, Kita Das and Ol James, PhD. By entering you agree to our Terms and Conditions.
    • Deadline: Entries close 11:59 p.m. EDT Wednesday, April 30, 2025.

  • Artist Information

    Please provide the following details below:

    1. Artist Biography: Please provide an Artist Biography that is less than 200 words long, and which is suitable for publication. If you would like us to link to your website, social media, or online portfolio in your Biography please provide the link here. 
    2. Collaborators: If any of your submitted artworks are completed by more than one artist, please provide the following details for them as well: Full Name, Email, Country, Artist Biography.

  • Artwork Information

    For each artwork please provide the following information:

    1. Artwork Title. 
    2. Year Artwork Completed: All completion dates accepted.
    3. Medium: Please list all materials used to create the artwork here, and if applicable the surface these materials have been applied to. For example: "Oil on canvas" / "Polyurethane rubber".
    4. Dimensions: Please provide in inches and millimeters.
    5. Artist Statement: Please provide a written description of your artwork that is less than one page in length.
    6. Collaborators: If you have worked with a collaborator, please indicate which artists have contributed to each artwork.

  • Upload Artwork

    You may upload your artwork(s) as image files, or provide a URL link, or both. 

    Image Files: Submit up to 3 images per artwork (e.g. you may submit up to 9 images in total if entering 3 artworks). Please include the artwork title in each file name. Please do not include your own name in the file name as the Prize is judged blind. 10 MB limit per image.

    URL Links: You may provide URL links to your artworks below. You may provide a link to a website or video streaming service where your artwork is displayed. Alternatively, you may use Google Drive, Dropbox, Microsoft OneDrive or a similar file sharing program to create URL links to your work: Please ensure permissions are set to "anyone with the link can view". Please ensure links to your artwork remain active and are able to be accessed by Homiens until you have been notified of the outcome of the Prize. 

    Audiovisual Entries: If you are submitting an audiovisual entry, please do so via a URL link.

          Apply for Meet the ArtistsBy selecting this option you are applying to our competitive “Meet the Artists” program: Each week we publish a beautifully presented e-booklet that artists may download and circulate professionally, which contains the artworks, biographies, and contact details of 30 talented artists in the Homiens community. These elements are selected from successful applicants’ Prize entry forms. E-booklets are circulated to our mailing lists (10K+) and available for download at our website (150K+ visitors annually). Successful applicants are also provided with a letter of recommendation by Homiens, and a letter template to utilize in the circulation of the booklet to collectors and galleries. As the program is competitive and merit-based, successful application represents a notable professional milestone. Unsuccessful applicants receive a refund of the $30.00 fee. By selecting this option you grant Homiens all perpetual rights necessary to include in our e-booklet your: images, biography, name, and contact details. We are currently accepting applications for the publication window beginning in May. Applicants are notified of the outcome via email and emailed the e-booklet at the time of publication. Positions are capped at 30 per week.

          Apply to Become a Homiens Promoted ArtistOur Jurors will select an artwork you have uploaded as part of this entry to accompany your Artist Biography for promotion at Homiens. Your artwork and Artist Biography will be featured prominently on the Homiens homepage for one month (150K+ visitors annually) and promoted in one of our newsletters (10K+). You will also be added to our Promoted Artists page, which will remain live on the Homiens website for at least one year. All promotions include a live link to your website and/or social media (if you provide these details in the Artist Biography section of this entry form). Homiens will not take any commission on sales which arise from our promotion of your work through this initiative. This offering is available until all positions are filled each month. Unsuccessful applicants receive a refund of the $99.00 fee. By selecting this option you grant Homiens all rights necessary to include on our website (for, at minimum, the durations outlined above) and in our newsletter your: images, biography, name, and contact details. We are currently accepting applications for a limited schedule beginning in May. Applicants are notified of the outcome via email. Positions are capped at 10 per month.
