Mission/Vision
Our vision is to establish a vibrant festival in Greensboro that becomes a cornerstone of cultural celebration, amplifying Black voices and experiences. Central to this vision is a food truck festival designed to support Black entrepreneurs who face systemic barriers and unfair advantages in accessing the resources needed to own and sustain brick-and-mortar establishments. By providing a high-visibility platform for food and non-food vendors to showcase their talent and creativity, we aim to give them a fighting chance to overcome these obstacles. Through this initiative, we strive to empower local businesses, foster economic equity, and cultivate a deeper appreciation for Black culture while building a lasting tradition that uplifts and celebrates Black lives year after year.

GFD will require a sewn in label on the fabric or the manufacturer’s certification of flame treatment or the label from the product used to treat the material. Tarps are not an acceptable canopy. FOR FOOD TABLE VENDORS: All tents must be screened in on all sides, per Guilford County Health Department regulations, using flame-retardant materials meeting Fire Department codes. Greensboro Fire Marshals will be inspecting tents prior to start of the event. ONLY 10'w x 10'd tents are allowed. Items must be hand crafted, handmade, original art or brand. Food Trucks MUST be able to UNHOOK if they are connected to a trailer (NO EXECPTIONS). Failure to comply with this and all other guidelines will result in dismissal from the event.
